So, what did you guys think?

Coke, as usual, kicked ass. Bud was okay and Miller Lite made a statement by NOT saying anything.

The Coke Video Game spoof on Grand Theft Auto where the driver gets out and proceeds to do a bunch of great things to random strangers (instead of car jacking and raping hookers as in the video game) was a nice touch.

The Black History Timeline as shown through different Coke bottles was classy. They ran that one at movie theatres all weekend.

And my favorite had to be the Snickers Kiss, LMAO!!

    DO SOMETHING MANLY!!

    Thoughts?

Note--all these commercials aree available on YouTube.

The coke commercial is one that i see when i go to the movies. It plays during the Twenty. very nice commercial.

The Snickers commercial I am torn on. Not sure I am nausiated by it or disgusted by it.

Right now I'm leaning towards nausiated but disgusted is a very close second.

The Snickers commercial and the beard comb over one gave me the creeps.

My favorite by far, though, was the Bud Light slap commercial.

Bud Light's rock, paper, scissors was a close second.

Here's a link to all of them:

We all laughed a lot at the "Click a Mouse" commercial. But the Bud commercials were good, too.

I am SO happy that Snickers went there.

The "do something manly thing" was a little absurd. They had just DONE a VERY manly thing.

    SMOOCHES!!

I thought the Bud Slap commercial was a tad bit to violent and that Go Daddy was over the top as usual.

Were there commercials? I was as usual too busy doing othere things during those moments. Saw about 5 minutes of Prince in his halftime showing and then watched the second half, in combined happiness (seeing Dungy get the win and the often maligned Colts as well), sad--I was hoping the Bears would win, seeing as I am into bears, and amused--seeing Hayden of the Colts run that touchdown and then realizing he used to be a Chicago resident--I guess he was going to be a winner no matter which team won. Sadly I missed the commercials.

Which is precisely why I decided it would be a good time to take a bathroom break.

Call me heretical, but I'm against too much commercials during Super Bowl, or football matches in general. My impression is that there's nearly as much football as there's commercial time, which throws up the question whether we're watching a sports event here, or a commercial show. That's also a reason why I don't like watching the Super Bowl as much as I used to do.

    1. Blockbuster Online commercial with the mouse
    2. the Bud Light face slap commercial
    3. the Snickers kiss (elicited as many shrieks as laughs)
    94839428billion. the heart disease commercial.

Prince. It was sad because one guy at my party and I knew the words to the songs; the rest of the time, it was just watching his dancers. Decent performance, pretty cool effects. Didn't realize that Prince is unbelievably short. He wore platform shoes (heels?) on stage.

Yup. I believe his heels are always 3-4 inches, IIRC. I think he is actually a smidge under five feet tall.

The guy on the local radio station said that companies will pay up wards of 2.6 million to have a 30 second commercial... how stupid is that?

tis what the market will bear. ya don't like it, don't buy their products to give 'em the money to do it.

    price rocked (sorry lex)
comb over was hilarious, especially with the cut off jeans
rock paper scissors, easy gag but worth a chuckle
doritos "amateur" was worth the money they didn't pay some high priced ad company
speakin' of ad companies, was there ANY actual "new" idea put forth or was everything pretty much an old gag rehashed?
    they're the lamest

That's how I feel when I see the idiocy you blokes pass off as football--a bunch of pansy men flitting around on a field. At least our game has real men.

(I'm queer so I can and will refer to your players as pansy men)

I figured as much. Prince isn't the PRINCE I grew up on. He's Walt Disney now. When you've gone Vegas showgirl, your career has become stale. He is a Vegas act. Peep this: 3121 Online Magazine
