jjdov26: the latest in the sorry Kobe Bryant story is that the alleged victim attended a party recently. At the party, according to many who were there, she bragged about the current situation.

A few attendees asked her about Kobe's size. Here is the quote from the NY Daily News:

She even answered a question about the 6-foot-7 L.A. Lakers star's manhood, five people at the party told NBC.

"She answered with a gesture and a description," said NBC correspondent Michelle Hofland. "They couldn't believe it."

I was pretty shocked to see the "manhood" term used in respected media like that. But it also beggs the question that, since the papers are bringing it up at all, how come they didn't just reveal what she supposable said about his apparatus. Why leave us guessing.

So what do you guys think about Kobe's size? Big? Small? What do you think. Maybe the papers didn't print her reply because she cast his pecker in a bad light.

gigantikok: Size usually can't be linked to hieght, and alot of times really tall guys have the misfortune of being tiny. However, it doesn't surprise me a guy like Bryant is big down there because he is big everywhere else too. He might just be proportionate.

My freshman year in college I lived in a dorm with several guys who were on the basketball team. At my height of 5'5", it became a source of amusement--and, for some, embarassment--that I had the biggest penis in the dorm shower. When school first started, I was originally given the nickname "Pee wee", but that soon morphed into "Big Wee wee"

[/quote]I have read time and time again that there is no correlation between dick size and the size of the rest of the body. Apparently it's a fairly unique body part that way, even more so than the breasts, which can be affected by weight gain. I noted in the thread "Sometimes the %'s just don't make sense" that porn (straight and gay) is traditionally dominated by short guys with big dicks. It has never been a parade of giantism, and I don't think that's due to the taste or scruples of porn producers. Probably the penis size genes are like those for eye color, they're very specific, non-malleable, you either have them or you don't. Think of bodybuilders. They ingest every hormone, etc. under the sun, including human growth hormone. If they had stumbled on a penis enlargement technique through massive hormone use, do you think they could keep it a secret?

Ineligible: I recall reading one study that came to the same conclusion as aznb, that there is a correlation with height, but it is weak. This is mechanistically reasonable: growth at puberty depends on sex hormones, primarily dihydrotestosterone, that have little effect on other growth, but size before puberty may be influenced by the general human growth hormone.

I think the frequent statement that there is no correlation is an oversimplification of the fact that the correlation is weak - it's quite frequent for individuals to be big one way and small the other.

I was once with a guy who was 6' 10" tall ... a whole foot
taller than me.

I was quite suprised to discover that in one way, I was
bigger then he was.

Donk: Putting this thread back on topic, I predict that we will soon hear about testimony, etc. about Kobe's actual size. They said on the news today that the prosecution is changing its theory to argue that the encounter started off as consensual intimacy but the actual intercourse was not consented to--"date rape" basically". They claim there are "injuries" that prove the actual sex was non-consensual.

There have been actual rape cases like this before where the prosecution argued that microscopic tears in the vaginal wall indicated forced intercourse and the defense theory was that the alleged rapist's large penis would produce the same "injuries" with consensual sex even though with an average size penis they would indicate force. (There is actually also a novel by Alan Dershowitz about a basketball player accused of rape that had this as a plot point.)

Anyway, two points to take from this: 1. Expect to hear testimony--and maybe even more conclusive "evidence" about Kobe's actual size. 2. Those of us with large penises should be careful because we could be especially vulnerable to charges of "date rape" even if innocent.
