Yah, it went well. I met the person that's gonna be training me once I'm done with the computer video training. He's my age, which is better than the two stupid women I'm working with. One can't like, speak English, and the other...Wow...she doesn't know anything.

Congradulations on working! Bigger congradulations on getting a pay check!!!

About how you talk. It is you. That is how we know you. As long as you can write in standard English when you need to as in a term paper or a business letter and can talk business English when it is needed, don't worry about your conversational English. It reminds me of a story.

Once there was this Japanese who studied English in Japan and he received an advance degree in it. He looked forward to coming to America. He finally did and came to Los Angeles. The first thing he did was to go to Disney Land. He walked to to the refreshment stand and said, "Pardon me, but I wish to purchase a bottle of Coca Cola." The person behind the stand just stared at him. Meanwhile an American walked up and said, "Coke." And the Amercan was waiting on. I was told that story by my high school English teacher who was pointing out wisely to us that conversational English and written business English are not the same. She did want us to know the difference and when to use each one.

I don't worry about conversational English at all. It makes you who you are. And I happen to be a Nixxy fan.

Love you and wishing the best in your new job. Walgreen's has opportunities for advancement which many employer's entry level jobs do not.

hah, we should define a post limit where someone crosses over to slutness on a topic just about themself. I'm not sure where I would personally put it, but I'd say that mine would be below 200 cause I'm not that interesting :)

Hmmm, I'm guessing that this thread still has quite a bit of life left in it.....and that LS made a pun of sorts ;)

Considering nothing in the thread is that blatently sexual, we can't call Nix a slut.

But an attention whore, yes! :yourock:

They stuck my up front all day before yesterday. They do it to all newbies. They train em for a day, then the next day, they like, leave them there by themselves. Anyways, I totally impressed them cause I could handle it. They were all "people are usually overwhelemed up there." Not me! Oh, I also had the coolest British Bennies as customers. they bought, no lie, 20 boxes of equal. I asked why, and they were all "Because we don't have equal in England, so we buy it in America and sell it in England." When they left, I started cracking up.

heh thanks for the vote of confidence Matt :)

Nix, you're serious? Can't they just order a ton of Equal online and have it shipped over to them?
