I read and post to LPSG during business hours (heck, I'm doing it right now) but it doesn't prevent me from doing actual work. Also, I'm a network IT guy, so if I ever need to delete proof of my presence on LPSG, I can just erase the server logs.

You got access to the firewall and proxy logs?

I have root on all servers.

Hope you don't work for a public company, as any who are required to have SoX compliance have to have a syslog-ng server that only the audit department has access to.

The best way around it is Tunneled-X (X forwarding via SSH in Linux) or an encrypted VNC session. Almost ANY other way is traceable.

Funny the only time I post here is during working time. When I go home, I don't come here.

You have made the appropriate deductions from your salary, having spent hours writing those 151 posts, haven't you?

God I hate my new job. We can't surf shit there and everything is so proper and button-down. Boring, boring. Hate  it. Hasn't been a week and i'm back here slamming pizza at the house at 2:50am.

And everybody on my Lpsg buddy list is sleep! lol

Yes. I usually work in 48 hour shifts. During slow or down time we relax in different ways. Reading, sleeping, watching tv in between calls. We have computers, but use our personal laptops for private activities, something we are allowed to do.

Absolutely not! I live in big brother land. Just getting through the day is big enough of an adventure. I am living in a very charged atmosphere right now. Besides, I wouldnt want them in my business anyway. I do check my email often, but NO LPSG.

My work has the internet locked out and we can only surf our corporate website and the weather channel. I could probably bypass the lock if I really tried as they're running Linux and the locks in place aren't very strong. Corporate thinks their employees don't know how to run anything but windows and were absolutley shocked when I sent them a system message one day when I caught them screwing up.

No I don't. Even if I would wipe out my history, the company has a record of every site I visited. Some of the guys have been embarrassed when confronted by all the porn sites they've visited!! Recently they've blocked all the porn sites anyway. Don't know if LPSG is blocked or not--not going to try it from work.

Hey dudes and dudettes please be careful surfing LPSG (and any other 'adult' sites) at work. IT can 'see' all, and if there's a policy in place - whether or not you know about it - it could bite you in the ass.

E.g. If your employer say, is looking for a reason to get rid of you, you may have 'dug your own grave' with the logs of you spending time on 'adult sites' and during work hours at that. Digital Identity Management is my forte. Ask burns1de...he'd tell you.

'Rock out with your cock out'

Cheers mates!

No I don't surf LPSG @ work. Mostly because I'm usually 2 busy, but also because I'm 2 scared 2 do so. I ain't tryin' 2 lose my job over somethin' I can do @ home.

How many of you visit LPSG.org while working?

I've started to do so recently. I work in a health care office in a cubicle, and my desk is positioned that I can do so with semi privacy. I usually keep LPSG running in the background (as chatters can attest to, heh, sorry) and I'll read through a couple of threads in between tasks. I keep LPSG windows minimized and I'll open enough new windows so that IE will group them all together in my taskbar. I do NOT open up the gallery. I also do not save my Internet history and will manually delete on a regular basis.

I wouldn't even think about attempting to surf while at work. Besides, I'm pretty sure that the site is probably on our restricted list, which means that we couldn't access it if we tried.

I usually minimize and surf Digg or Wikipedia. I used to browse PopURLs, but that site can't load on my computer for some reason. I don't know if it's something in the HTML that messes up IE6 -- and, unfortunately, I don't have administrative rights to update software (knowing full well that I would probably kill even more time chatting on Y!).

The good news is that I stay a lot busier during an average work day. We have open enrollment going on, and I juggle my sessions with incoming participants and health evaluations. I conduct sessions with people at the university, and I'm in charge of doing the clinical work for two county-employer groups based out of Pennsylvania. The majority of my clients up north are in their 40s and 50s, and I'm damn impressed with the prevalence of dedicated exercise. Makes me look like all kinds of a slouch.

I'm probably the only one left, who's got an LPSG account at my job (group home). We're a pretty tight group, so every once in a while, when I'm logged in, a coworker will see LPSG on the screen and respond to a topic or look at a gallery pic, and I don't mind--do the same thing on sites they're surfing. We share alot of stuff. I think it gets so damn boring around here, so everybody sympathizes with stealing a couple of minutes here and there to have a little fun.
