What I'm looking for is a brand of swimming briefs that will be quite tight across the ass but has plenty of room in the front (I don't mean a cock-sock or anything like that), preferably quite brief (1 inch or maybe 1.5 inches at the side). I also prefer it to be quite high at the side. It needs to be good for actual swimming.

    Any ideas?

Thanks for the ideas (well, for most of them...).

This is the sort of style I have in mind, but they (and most like them) aren't very roomy at the front: [IMG]

Yes, thanks, and there are other similar companies (e.g. [IMG]

Perhaps I just need to give one a try.

Aussiebum.com Andrewchristian.com both have some. If you're looking for the tiny sides and custom butt you might try hillcrestswim.com

Thanks. The Aussiebum Loose 1.5 look as if they might be ideal.

I agree with these. Love my Aussiebums, but the Ergowear Flex is the most comfortable, greatest-looking, fitting and feeling swim brief I've ever owned. A really hot suit. You can get them through International Jock as well.
