Hey guys,
Seeking community advice. After years of trying to find a comfortable boxer brief, I finally gave up because either they never fit comfortably or my horribly sensitive skin would react from the elastic in the leg openings and elastic fly openings (each pair had something shaped a little bit different for holding your dick and balls in place as a pouch). After trying out regular boxers for a few weeks I think I have found my solution. Although they do not provide the same level of support as the boxers briefs, I would rather have my equipment hang free and at least be cotton protected, then feel like it is being strangled by strangely shaped boxer-briefs.
So I have been shopping around and could use some boxer advice. I would prefer to find boxers with a shorter or tapered leg, and preferably cotton sewn over the elastic at the waist band. Jockey used to make one that was tapered but had exposed elastic at the waist (my skin gets to sensitive from it). I hang very long, low and heavy (both dick and balls), so would prefer something on the softer side.
Sorry to be so tricky with my needs, but I have gotten great advice consulting the community on here so thought I would try again.

Boxer suggestions anyone?

Thank you

I went trough the same thing for many years after switching from briefs to boxer briefs. I like the freedom of boxers but I never liked the fact that my dick would always hang down the leg. I found that when I went for a larger size in boxer briefs they were much more comfortable around the legs and the pouch felt much better. Good luck on your search.

Hey ShyGuyFTL:

The answers lies in your username - FTL. I switched to boxers 8 years ago after wearing briefs for decades. In the process, I tried many brands of boxers, including some pricey ones from Brooks Brothers, American Eagle, etc. To my surprise, the boxers that became my favorites are Fruit of the Loom. The fabric is a blend, not all cotton, but the fabric is lightweight and more pliable than any other brand that I've tried. The fabric-covered waistband feels good, too. Some of the other brands that I bought aren't that comfortable; the fabric just doesn't feel as nice next to my skin. FTLs are inexpensive. Buy a pack and give them a try. The patterns are mostly plaid, and nothing exciting to look at, but they feel great. I wear FTL boxers every day.

Similar findings here.

Saw FTL, Hanes, and Stafford in JCPenney today and all had fabric covered elastic waistband. Last time I had to get the exposed elastic and don't like it either. You can find much more expensive brands but unless you are particularly style conscious, why spend more money. In Florida here too and understand the need for as much room and air movement as possible. I never have trouble with my junk hanging out of the fly, except at night sometimes (I also wear them to bed) which just makes them convenient for quick action haha! Still wear snug boxer briefs with slacks or in exercise apparel but that's it. I usually buy boxers at cheap places like WalMart or KMart but haven't checked to see what kind they are carrying now.

Thank you

Yeah I used to wear those when I was a teen and they were pretty comfortable with the exception that there was no button on the fly an occasionally my cock would get hard and come out by itself. I haven't seen them in a while. Not sure if Jockey still makes them or not.

you can also shop around online and find some great deals on FTL and hanes online (wish they had had those sites years ago!). My main issue (like yours) is the fabric covered waist band- don't like the pinching, or roughness on the skin. I also like one with a button for the same reason. I also much prefer a cotton boxer vs 100% polyester. As some one who precums constantly (and the occasional drop of pee) cotton soaks up and dries, where poly/poly blend tends to bead up. I also tend to work in hot environments and like the air flow of boxers. You can always do the 'leg jiggle' to get some air moving around your cock and balls if there is a dampness issue.

Underwear wears out, its a fact of life- I would rather buy decent than over priced. My gym is not fashionable :) ftl and JCP is fine.
