There might be a thread about this already , but if there is here's an updated version. I really get upset with networks here in the USA will cancel a series without explanation , especialy if they run it for a season and you (I) think it's a show you enjoy ,for instance. The show " Brother & Sisters "with Sally Field , " Harry's Law " with Kathy Bates and the show " V ' to name a few that I liked. The shows I mentioned all had a following and I looked forward to the next episode. There is only one show that they canceled in the recent past that had a series finale that tied up the story, and that show was " Medium " with Patricia Arquette. My question is, what show or shows did they cancel without any fanfare that you may have liked ?

Harry's Law being cancelled was seriously annoying. I loved The Practise and Boston Legal, I was looking forward to having time to love this too.

Threshold was left wide open when they cancelled it. Such a disappointment, I really was loving it

I take it you watched Harry's Law..Do you remember the line she had in the opening of an episode when she was just getting out of bed ?

You know, I watched every episode just over a week ago... I remember her getting out of bed, I remember being grateful it was the only scene involving her and a bed, I don't remember what she said.

I think they shoot themselves in the foot just as bad when they don't let you know what actually is going on with one that ultimately does come back. AMC sort of did that with "Hell on Wheels" recently. I would have sworn they decided it was dead after that long ass silence, but now it turns out I've missed five episodes or something from its unexpected return.

Too many people either lose interest after a while, figure it's cancelled, or forget too much about what was going on in the story and don't pick it back up. We're not exactly living in the days of the long attention span here.

As she was getting out of bed she made a jab at NBC and the Nielson ratings by uttering something like..Oh, I live to see another day except for the 18 to 49 age group... The show was canceled because the network said they were not doing good in that age Demographic..

Usually if I really like a program it get cancelled. From last season Pan Am, I really like Once Upon A Time too but I guess they were able to really capture a wide audience.

I remember it now, I actually looked up what the hell she was talking about!

I happen to fall quite firmly in that group. Clearly they don't know what they're talking about :frown1:

I'm crossing my fingers that Once Upon a Time sticks around.

I'm glad that after 6 years, another season of Arrested Development is finally in the works :)

Reality shows seem to be all the rage these days, cept they are not real most of the time. They are as cheap as chips to make, not because they are popular.

I'm crossing my fingers that Once Upon a Time sticks around.I too hope they keep Once Upon a Time. They have been promoted it heavily. It has a good story line, one we sorta know with a twist..If that got canceled it would be that it cost to much money to make.

I am guilty of watching some of these shows..Big Brother, The Amazing Race, and Survivor.

I've heard that they're very careful with how they've been budgeting everything so they don't run into that problem for Once Upon a Time.
