Thank you, All, for the kind words and good stories. Tomorrow's T-Day, and I'm trying like crazy to go about my business, but the nerves are doing their job real good.

It's going to feel weird to not have to work around the girls. I was sweeping the floor this morning in my robe and thinking about what I do to accommodate them. But I'm definitely looking forward to the freedom!

My sister is flying in this afternoon hoping for a transplant (hah!) She will be my babysitter for a few days. One night in the hospital (yuck) and then I'll be able to go home. Cap's already got his nurse's cap on. He's so funny. He went out and bought a case of latex gloves and a case of gauze bandages! He took the Doc seriously!

Good luck Ellie!!!

A reduction is something I've thought about a 1000 times, but have never had the courage or conviction to follow through on. My biggest fear is close to something you mentioned - I'm used to being big and I don't want to be small!

I think you are awfully brave!

Please let us know how it turns out.

Some women who undergo reduction mammoplasty experience diminished nipple sensitivity post op. I assume your surgeon has discussed this possibility with you.

I had a couple of friends who had reduction surgeries. Both were happy with the results. One had some scarring issues, the other didn't. It seems some people heal better than others in that regard.

If you smoke, give up - at least while you're recovering. Apparently it can make scarring and general healing worse. I gave up years ago - best thing I ever did.

Hey Guys, they just wheeled her back into the room. She did great according to the doc. I'll let her give you the details, but surgery went well - longer than I expected at about two and a half hours. She's in and out, mostly out. But she smiled at me, so I'm good.

Thanks for all the good wishes. I'll keep you posted on post-op if anything changes, but I'm sure she'll be online soon enough.

Glad everything went well. I'd be interested to hear if her neck and back improve.

Thanks for the update Captain. Your Ellie is one of the most genuine and elegant ladies here at LPSG.

I read that she is lucky enough to have you, her husband, to nurse her through her initial convalescence period and that is the best confidence booster a woman can have. I wrote to Ellie that in my wife's circle of friends is a woman who is on the staff of a high-profile plastic surgeon here in Newport Beach, Ca. This particular surgeon even has a post-op recovery home nearby that looks like a cross between a high-end Bed & Breakfast, a spa and a medical facility. The patients are pampered and told their bruising and swelling is "not bad at all." And the worst patients are the women who actually believe a relatively major plastic surgical procedure involves nothing more complicated than a shopping trip to Fashion Island.

Best of luck to Ellie!!

Elle and Cap,

Great to hear that Elle came through OK!

My only experience with breast reduction was meeting (and sleeping with) a woman who had it done a year or so before we met. As I was caressing, and kissing, and fondling, etc. her beautiful all natural D's, I noticed some very fine scar lines. She told me she used to be a DD and when she kept growing to an E and beyond, she decided to have a reduction. She was otherwise petite and slim, so I imagine E's or F's would make her top-heavy and prone to tipping over! :biggrin1:

She was a large C after surgery, and was very happy with the results. When I met her (and her girls) she had grown back to a nice full D. She was hoping that her breast growth would finally stop, as she was OK with the D, but didn't want to get bigger.

For Cap (and Elle too)... the only way I knew her breasts were reduced were the very fine scars. They were very fun to play with, as was the woman herself! She looked spectacular in clothes, amazing in lingerie, and very sexy in nothing at all. I'm sure after Elle recovers, you will both have some fun with her new smaller (yet still big!) size.

Thanks, Guys. She's awake now and moving about. Just took out IVs and such. Brought a bedpan in and she said "no way." That was a good sign. Feisty as always.

They changed her dressing and I was able to witness the grand unveiling. All I can say is that doctor is wonderful! I learned how to change dressing and I think I embarrassed the nurse. She asked if I was ok doing this, and I said do I have to wear the gloves?

Ellie says her neck and shoulders already feel very different - much better. They must feel different because the doctor said they removed almost a kilogram from each breast.

She's being released tomorrow sometime, so you be hearing from her before long.

Her sister's staying for a week, so between her and me she'll get her fair share of pampering.
