I'd tanned at salons a few times before but really nothing too serious. My topic is that I'd like to get completely tan and not have underwear marks. Two years ago I tanned for a month at a salon, in a both not a bed, and got incredibly dark, BUT i tanned with my briefs on so naturally my ass was as white as fuck. Does anyone have any suggestions or tips as to how i can get tan all over without having to worry about getting melanoma on my penis?

Why would you get melanoma on your dick more than on any other part of your body? I have tanned naked for 50 years and had no melanomas. My observation is that the people who tan regularly but not excessively keep a nice tan and don't get melanoma. If you go through winter without tanning then burn yourself badly a few times each summer, you have far more chance of a melanoma. My dick is always as well tanned as the rest of my body.

There is some evidence now that no form of artificial UV based tan is safe. The darker your complexion is naturally, the lower your risk.

There are some chemical tanning agents that can do a decent job from the outside, but the color is variable as is the quality of the tan.

The University of Arizona started studies on a peptide which was eventually named "Melanotan" There is a group dedicated to this with information at melanotan.org.

I can tell you that any UV based methods have a terrible risk. I am now 57 years old. When I was a teen I was treated for acne. I have an extensive family history of both basil and squamous cell carcinoma on both sides of the family.

The MD's doing this did not at that time understand the relationship. The skin on my face as part of scar removal was burned badly with UV and then I had a rubdown with a combination of acetone and dry ice to peel the layers of skin.

For me skin cancer is not an "if" it is now most likely a "when". If I make it through life without it we will have seen a miracle based on my exposure.

Find another way to do this my friend. Please do not do it via UV exposure. The chance you are taking is not worth it. Before her passing my Mother had 21 skin skin cancers removed. My Father had 7 before his death. My Mother was forced to have plastic surgery on her nose because of this late in life.

I wish you the best, but, find a different way to do it.

Excessive tan lines are nasty to me. Guys who tan too much are a turn off. Pale skin is healthy skin!

EDIT: This is not to say that I am only into pale white guys. On the contrary, I'm VERY much into non white dudes. My only point is that I prefer natural over fake.

Sadly your observations are incorrect

...and again, sadly incorrect but don't take my word for it,ask a dermatologist

OP....use Fake Bake or something equally as safe.I and my twin sister both had a C scare due to our sunbed habit. She is dark with olive skin and well as you can see i am really fair skinned.Fake tan is the way to go for safety.

You can NOT tan without raising your risk of cancer. Period.

Ask a DERMATOLOGIST, not an "Esthetician" or "Skin Care Specialist" at a tanning salon or department store...TAN=SKIN DAMAGE.

Just because some people have tanned all their lives...just as some people have smoked for years with no cancer...there is NO denying the link between UV rays--from ANY source--and skin cancer.

Spray tan, or just appreciate the beautiful skin you already have without damaging it.

Okay....I'll get off my soapbox now. It's just that as the son of a dermatologist who more than once saw his father come home after learning that a patient who tanned died from malignant melanoma, I feel it's important to butt in, even if the info isn't welcomed.

Yes, UV is dangerous. It will harm you if you don't take care. Staying out of the sun will also do you harm. I am in my 60s and have always had an outdoor lifestyle, always had a moderate tan, most of the time all over. My dermatologist checks me regularly and has no concerns.

Some skin conditions are best treated with UV. Most alternative treatments are also harmful, each in their own way. Alternatives include steroid creams (very harmful) and biologic drugs (read the disclaimers, they can kill and sometimes do). My first dermatologist gave me very bad advice so I changed to one with broader knowledge of treatments outside of the tunnel-visioned medical profession.

We must each learn what works best for our own bodies. The medical profession is very slow to learn that there are better answers than expensive drugs to many health problems. Sunlight is one of the solutions, as long as it is used sensibly. Each sunburn multiplies the risks, compounded over time. I have not burned in about 30 years but am always tanned.

You can paint yourself for cosmetic reasons but you cannot paint over skin problems, you have to find solutions. Painted tans are fashionable but they are relatively new technology. In 20 years we may have news that they have done more harm than sunlight. New technology has made a habit over the centuries of having to be replaced because time proves it to be more harmful than what was before it. The painted tan profession has a vested interest in convincing us that it is 100% safe. That does not mean that they are right.

personally, i like that tan line. as one gets older and gravity starts taking its toll it is harder and harder to have a firm, high butt. a carefully placed bikini-type garment - pulled just to the area where the ass meets the hamstrings, creates a well done tan line that helps cover up the sagging buttocks line.
