I'm a relatively spiritual person, more than most, not in the religious sense. But. The other day while searching for second hand kitchens for a reno I was led to a place not far from here. I knew the original owners and knew they had sold it on. I decided to have a look at the google reviews to see how things were going....downhill apparently. But that's not the purpose of this thread.

While reading the reviews I saw one from a Chanel Bader Tarot & Guidance. She had given 1 star and a poor review about service and being ripped off, lied to etc.. Interesting I thought, so I googled the name and apparently she is pretty big into providing the service of Youtube Tarot readings, as well as private. (Hang on, I'm getting there). Ranging in prices for the private readings.

So, I Youtubed Chanel and watched her latest reading. For me, I thought it was a mishmash, bishbash, hit and miss conglomeration of contrived bullshit. I'm not bad on picking up fakes..... But she did have nice nails.

Then I read some of the comments, apparently she is quite popular, 99% I'd say were from female followers. I nearly placed a comment regarding a review of hers she left 10 months ago at the local second hand shop, and why she didn't see it in her cards.

When thinking back on how I was led to her videos...that could be construed to mean something. But I think I was just led down a path of procrastination. Whether you believe or not, how serious is it to you or your friends? My love told me a psychic said to her she would meet me, I said, so you were warned then?...:) When I think back, I don't think there is a woman I have not met, including my sisters and daughters that has not sought guidance in some way or another from cards, psychic or the like. And wonder why this is. Some blokes yes, but not in the numbers of women.

I've experienced a couple of weird things in my life which I can't explain, but answered some 'what is life about' questions, if you know what I mean. So there is some 'stuff' going on. I don't think though this Chanel had a gift, not in the spiritual sense, maybe a good con game going on.

So there you go, from Kitchens to Psychics and the spirit world. :)

This her review at the shop, I like the bit about can't afford the costs....but charges, in English pounds 25 to 50 per reading. And she lives in Australia....

Unprofessional, runs late, expected me to carry my furniture items out of my house when I clearly told her I didn't want to do that, still did not listen. The lady that owns this Jane, directly lied to me on the phone when I rang up to ask her if she had collected my desk on the driveway that I left out after I moved out. How disgusting! I could have saved over $300 in removalist costs, which I now have to organise! when she had the opportunity to say she wasn't taking my desk but instead she choose to be snide just so she could get the deal of taking my new mattress to make her profits. This woman is only out to benefit herself at the most minimalist cost at the expense of anyone, do not sell your furniture to her because its a waste of your time because she will muck you around, cost you extra money and run late without proper trucks for transport. I hope you ashamed of doing this to a younger girl who is moving and can't afford the costs.

I don’t know how many men consult psychics. I sure do know a lot of women. A few absolutely swear by them.

I’ve gone a couple of times for fun. The first time, I offered zero information about myself. I didn’t confirm or deny when the psychic offered information. The reading was so off! It was almost hilarious, except I paid money. Not a damn thing was true, none of her predictions came true.

The second time was a free reading, so I went. But this time, I let her have information. I was open. The “reading” was much better. But again, no predictions came true. She sure did tell me what I wanted to hear, though.

But I look at it as harmless fun. Mostly. I think some people find it a sort of therapy. I don’t begrudge anyone their belief systems. I sure the hell don’t know everything. Maybe it’s real and maybe it isn’t. If people are helped by it? Good. It’s just not for me.

I don't personally believe in psychics, but am also willing to acknowledge there are many things I do not know and that science does not comprehend yet.

I use tarot cards as a meditative, introspective tool. No more, no less. I also think some tarot decks are works of art/beautiful.
