I've a tattoo on my upper arm that goes around my bicep and I HATE IT.

I'm highly embarassed at the gym and it makes me unhappy to even catch a sight of it in the bathroom mirror.

Does anyone have experience of tattoo removal?

Or know of a good tattoo artist where I can get a "cover-up" done.

    Will travel.

    Thanks in advance.

Ive never had one removed or covered up, I love mine but, removing them takes alot of time and money, much more that actually getting them but, cover up would be the way to go. Any reputable artist could prob do it. You'd have to go to a dermatologist to remove it, good luck, post a pic of it and you might get some ideas from people.

Thanks. I know what you mean about loving a tattoo.

    I've ink I love, too.

This was just a bad idea, a bad design, a bad "artist" (wanker) a bad job all round.

Not life threatening, but highly depressing when I catch a glimpse of this bloody thing on my arm. Like an indestructible fly that keeps buzzing around your face. My tattoo needs to be squished.:biggrin1:

It pays to talk to other people the particular artist has inked beforehand, also check them out with the BBB.

Many places specialize in laser removal and the price is coming down. There are also some organizations (in some cities) that do this pro bono for former gang members etc.

Depends on where you are located. If you check my profile I have 2 pics. One in the black bra is the stupid fucking butch tattoo I got when I was 19, the one in the red bra is the cover up I just got in February.

Laser will leave a scar and you could go back lots of times, paying big bucks and it still may not be gone completely. Depends how old your tattoo is, what kind of gun, how deep the ink is, lots of factors.

The artist I went to is the best in this area. Check out his website, it's probably too far for you to go, but looking at the cover ups he's done might give you some ideas. beestingtattoo.com and click on photos.
