I'm thinking about getting a bible verse tattooed on my left arm. But I don't know what I'm going to get. Does anybody else here have any religious tattoo's. From any religion. Christianity, Islam, Buddism whether you practice said religion or not. I'm non-religious but still there are words of wisdom everywhere you look. What do you guys have? And what would you suggest?

Psalm 137:9 - Happy shall he be, that taketh and dasheth thy little ones against the stones.

LMAO! Kiki! ;>

Seriously, I'd take the hesitancy and indiciveness as a hint, before you're body's permanently etched with something you don't gel with 100%...

If you're not very religiously inclined, put something else that may vibe w/ your own particular uniqueness... perhaps an icon or symbol? Perhaps a scorpio glyph (or scorpion) since your a Scorpio? How about an Asian Kanji character word (love, peace, strength, balance, abundance... etc) -
they're decorative and meaningful too - and most any personality can get behind that!

Have fun w/ whatever route you choose!

All the best!

To agree with what everyone else is saying... only get something that truly has a meaning to you and will bring inspiration. Otherwise, don't get it. Just because it's a religions symbol/meaning doesn't automatically imply your liking it.

I have an orthodox cross on my back, right on my shoulder blade.

Why not:
LEVITICUS 19:28
"Ye shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print any marks upon you..."

OKAY! just trying to stir things up a bit.:tongue:

I think having a passage from anything tattoo'd on your body is disturbing, especially the bible. What a way to turn people off from sex.. have a bible verse on your body.

Hmm, as a Christian (though admittedly not a good one :redface:) I never considered that possibility. Hmm, given the importance of religion and spirituality in the lives of many people I guess it's a good thing to put that out there in tattoo form. That way you don't attract the wrong type of person. :cool:

Psalm 91 has always been popular with the US Marines and other branches of the Armed Forces. I have seen many guys down the shore with part or all of this tattooed on some part of their body.

Psalm 91 - The Soldiers Psalm
(King James Version)
1 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
2 I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.
3 Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.
4 He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.
5 Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;
6 Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.
7 A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.
8 Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.
9 Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation;
10 There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.
11 For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.
12 They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.
13 Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet.
14 Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.
15 He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him. 16 With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.
