has the (USA) Internal Revenue Service gotten the updated forms out to the taxpayers? Congress waited so late in the year to approve the tax code that the IRS couldn't provide correct forms until 2011.

I've been on Social Security Disability for a long time and my gross (!) income is so low I don't have to file. I'd rather have more money and need to file.

Baby's trust fund hasn't coughed up the 1099 or whatever you call it. Then I have to get the refund back from the feds before I can pay the state because for some reason they don't withhold for state. I have never filed a short form as a parent. Moi, if I had no kids I would have no taxes. Not enough earned income.

Baby doesn't get the trust fund until he has his high school diploma though.

Here on the LPSG we tend to be open about these things, so I will admit to one and all that I do indeed procrastinate, sometimes several times a day. Sure, an individual filing is not the same as a joint return, but I since I earned it I will spread out my forms, take out my pens and procrastinate on those W2s, 1040s and attachments. Not a taxing time at all.

I filed and paid ($1,600). I took money out of a retirement account to pay off credit cards. I calculated that the money that I'd save on credit card interest would more than offset my tax liability. Debt sucks!
