It happens that people really believe it is necessary to have physical evidence such as, according to them, a marriage certificate, photos of their wedding and things like that, so to speak, to believe that Taylor and G are in a relationship.
Since he doesn't have it, they talk too much, people simply believe that Taylor is in love with every person he meets.
people's logic that if there is no evidence it is not real ..
