that book is for teenagers It only got an R rating because it has gay sex content had it been straight it probably would've gotten PG-13. The director even talked about it

OMG Thanks! I just looked it up and boy.. they really had some hot sex scenes! Jonathan Groff and Russell Tovey look so hot together. See..that's how gay movies/shows should be! Hot gay couple and hot sex scene (with nude, missionary humping) = perfection!
