    how do i play MP4 vids on my comp? i added to patchs to window media player but niether seem to work. and i really would pfer to not pay money to watch them when i know there has to be something i can do.

    so any ideas?

    I think Quicktime can play MP4s. Personally though, I use VLC Media Player. I used Windows Media Player for years and years, but then MP4s and MKVs and other things started showing up, so I was forced to find something else. VLC Media Player seems to be one of the more popular ones out there.
