People who hate on Dylan and Tyler's tattoos because you just hate body tattoos and prefer hairless, uninked twink bodies are just : unamused:

Clearly the flavor isn't for you.

It really isn’t...I couldn’t get over Lydia using Scott to make Jackson jealous when she knew stiles liked her...and I didn’t like how stiles like didn’t care that Lydia was taken and actively tried to steal her....their friendship was better. I like her with Aiden or Parrish

Parrish - and Ryan Kelley as well - was done dirty by the show. His whole character arc just fizzles the moment his character has fulfilled his season 5 arc. Season 6, he becomes a plot point and loses his an emotional arc. Plus, he was handsome.

Speaking of which, the show would’ve been much hotter if it was Sterek and Jackson/Scott. Just let the male leads be gay. Or hell Skittles would’ve been cute too

I could see that. I mean Malec from shadowhunters did good. Idk why it was so hard to make Sterek a thing. If the actors were ready I would’ve just done it. There was so much to discover there. And I was a big fan of Scissac lol. The height difference got to me lol.

That’s so true!! Like damn how are they going to give us an interesting character and then once again not do anything with them? Like they pretty much showed that he was attracted to Lydia and didn’t go anywhere with it. When he was teaching her how to fight, which honestly Stiles should’ve learned how to fight too, you could tell there was an attraction there. But she decides to give all that up just to be with a guy that she honestly never paid any attention to until he suddenly disappeared out of her life? Like what the hell kind of BS was that? It was a fan service is what it was.

I liked 6A as a season, and found it somewhat evocative, especially with Cody Christian and Dylan Sprayberry - who undeniably have solid chemistry as angry brothers/the dudes who hate fuck. But my sticking point is that Lydia's story isn't her story, it's a story about Stiles where she's the catalyst - doesn't pass the Bechdel test by any stretch. And Parrish is a tool and not a full character for the plot. Rule 101 of writing for characters: what is their motivation? If his motivation is to show up and be handsome, it's a success, but from a writing standpoint, weak, writer's room weak.

Ryan was hot. He aged really fast (though he's still hot). He's not the best actor I ever saw. Even for that show.

I honestly don't give a shit about the Bechdel test. Shitty TV and movies can pass it and great works of art can fail it, and she herself said it was originally intended as a joke. Also I don't see why every creator has a duty or obligation to be pro-feminist.

Don't get me wrong! I really liked Teen Wolf, but the writing was NOT the most consistent. There were so many plot holes and lazy conveniences that the only reason the show was able to exist was due to the fandom and their love for the characters and actors. Also, I think MTV producers didn't give enough credit to the shows potential by locking in some actors (i.e Colton, Adaiide, etc), which made some storylines go up in flames.
The gays loved the show, at first, because of the "homophobia free atmosphere" Jeff had created, HOWEVER

they gaybaited the hell out of the fandom by hinting Sterek for clout and sprinkling some small storylines for the gay/lesbian minor secondary characters. So ridiculous.

Teen Wolf is one of my favorites shows ever ! In my opinion if the show had another season Liam and Theo would have a romantic relationship, they had a lot of chemistry together and there is a lot of clues that they are becoming attached to each other in a very suspicious way and Sterek would never happen (unfortunately ! they had chemistry too,but their relationship is very funny).

If I'm being honest, the Bechdel test isn't an insurmountable goal. It's a simple rule, two women with names talking about a topic that is not a man. Narrative-wise, that means having motivations for women that are not about the men around them - Lydia remembers Stiles because love is not an example. It's a low bar. And not hard to achieve.
As for great art, meh. That's only somewhat true. I can think of films and television that has soared because of feminism and vice versa. That's anecdotal evidence and doesn't hold water for me.
