Hey guys,

Wondered if anyone can shed some light / give some assistance here.

The day before yesterday, i was driving, i had been in the car for an hour, had almost got to my finish point, but then got the most horric pain in my (when looking down to me) right ball. It was the sharpest most awful pain, never had anything like it. I had to stop the car and very carefully get out until the inital pain wore off (which was about ten minutes). I was wearing my normal boxerbriefs and loose shorts over that.

The pain has subsided to a dull ache, but getting twinges now and then.

I have looked this up, but dont seem to be getting an answer that fits. Never had anything remotely similar to it before, so just wondering if its something i should worry about.

Cheers for any help!

Hi, if you still have pain/ache go get it checked out. As a nurse I advise anyone with anything like this get it checked.

Not worth risking losing them.

Hope all is well

It could have been the blood flow was cut off to your testicle by pinching off of a testicle which can be very painful when the tissues don't have blood. If it was an isolated incident and it corrected itself I wouldn't be overly concerned, but I'm not your doctor. If it persists you need to see your doctor.

Firstly, GO TO YOUR DR!
I had this pain when I was 9-10yo I went to the GP and was told that I had a torsion (twisted testicle) It did't get better for what seemed like days. I was told if it didn't get better whithin 2 days, surgery may be the only option to untwist it.
It may have been a once off pain but it is best to get it checked

As I know, epididymitis is the most commom cause of acute onset of scrotal pain in adults. Go to a doctor and check it up.

I get Epididymitis out of nowhere. It has been happening for years. I always had to go to the doctor as Antibotics as it was the only thing that would make it better after a few days.

I read about a vitamin a year ago called Quercetin, that's suppose to help with Epididmyitis and I started taking it, as I figured what I have to lose. Well holy Sh*t does it work, much better than the antibotic.

Once I start feeling any discomfort I take 2 pills a day until it goes away. It works. Just an FYI

Get to the doctor ...!!!! Worst case its testicular cancer. The sooner you get checked out the better because it can spread to kidneys and limphnodes ..
GO NOW. been down that road not fun..
Come myhappypants, you scared me by what you wrote..Ive had my share of cancer for a lifetime and had a Hydrocele fixed on one of my testicals.Though good advice to see a Urologist. The cancer you mentioned is much more common amoung men 35 and under. To the OP, you dont have to man up for a doctor, they have seen a lot..I should know.Okay funny story when I had an ultrasound done on my testical a woman tech came in the room to do it and I thought WTF..

Right, OK, and update. After a few visits and checks, I have an abnormally enlarged Facia (I think that is spelled correctly) and a lightly infection running from there.

Unsure, but pain is still there and I am on hardcore anti-biotics and I await an ultrasound.

Any advise here to pass on is not to wait, get to the doctors post haste!

I will keep you all updated, but thanks for the support from everyone so far.

Hey, sorry I have been on holiday.

Turns out nothing to worry about and was just an infection. Ultrasound did not show anything to be concerned about so all clear.

Cannot suggest anything but getting a check up the minute you get anything similar to this though guys. The gp took it extremely seriously as it is one of the warning signs.

Go to a Dr. if it continues. I ignored the pain and ended up having testicular cancer that was spreading in the 3 months I was ignoring it...

Good to hear it was no big deal, bro. NEVER hurts to talk to a doc about any questions about anything having to do with your masculinity. No shame in it, and trust me, your fellow doc (especially if he's a guy -- but not saying a woman doc is any less knowledgeable, heh) will definitely understand; and you'll find the support you need in him.

Woke up again with this pain this morning.

Went to gp after my last post, but said I might have twisted it but showing no signs of problem.

No idea what it is or what's causing it.... Apart from being painful and very annoying!
