Hello, I am a new member here and wanted some feedback on testicular atrophy. I have a very long story but I’ll cut to the main points for this.

My wife and I found out we had “secondary infertility” upon trying for a second child. Further testing revealed I was the problem. I had a grade 3 vericocele that required surgery in my left testicle. This was causing serious hormone issues as well as a low sperm count.

After surgery I had an adverse reaction to medication that caused my estrogen level to be triple the top range, and testosterone to be double the top range. I was a bit difficult to deal with according to the wife.

I stopped all medications and over the next year I noticed my balls weren’t quite hanging like they use to. Now they’re much smaller than before. They used to be the size of large eggs, and now they’re a little shorter, but about half the width. My wife doesn’t care but it’s hard for me to deal with to be honest. I never cared before, but now I’m definitely self conscious of them.

Does anyone have any ideas or experience with anything like this? I’m going to my family DR in October but figured it was worth a shot to try here first. I’ll hopefully get a hormone test to see if my testosterone is tanking again.

Thank you!
