Amen, people believe everything they read online. The majority doesn't even know what source analysis means. But that's not the biggest problem. What's even worse is that they think they know more than actually well educated people who even might be experts in a specific topic. It's a a mixture of two problems. First they overestimate their own expertise and second they don't recognize the actual experise of others. Since everyone is "seemingly" equal on the internet, it's even worse than in real life.
