Hello mods...

1st let me say that i enjoy my time here, but there is a problem i feel that is detracting from the quality of the forum, to be specific, the "Adult Websites Forum"

there are alot of good posters who post quality links to videos/downloads, pictures etc. and these are all good threads, that deserve attention, also, people like me, spend our time finding links to videos as well as making video compilations for all to enjoy, only to see the threads disappear to the third page or so, because of people posting silly threads like "where can i find pictures of large cocks?" "does anyone know where I could watch some girls gone wild footage for free?" "Pics or vids of close ups of cocks?" "Big Cock Masked Men- from german porn films -any pics?"
and other such silliness...the forum is jam packed with thesestupid, useless threads, that detract from the folks who actually post real quality stuff in the forum

I propose, if it is not too much trouble in the near future, to segment the Adult websites forum into a couple of sections such as...

1. a "questions" section
(i.e. - who is this "star"?, what are good sites? Where can i find...?"

2. the "Personal or amateur video" section...
(i.e. - where anyone posting new vids and links of themselves or amateurs from sites like xtube or personal videos, can post these clips of themselves or others that they like...many seem to like to post pics and vids of themselves masturbating or whatever, which is fine, but is not really an "adult website")

3. The "porn video links" section...
(i.e. where posts to links found or compilation videos made of professional porn are posted)

4. A "Gay" video/links demarcation and a "straight" one in the forum. A large portion of posters do not post a description of the link in many cases, and while we all get along fine here on LPSG, it is not really considerate to link to a gay site or gay videos without giving a "heads up" to a straight poster. Those of us who post videos and links give a description of the action such as "Lex Steele and Monica Sweetheart", thusly if a gay poster does not wish to watch a straight vid, he is given a heads up, but this is not usually the case the other way around.

Because everyone tends to know the names of the straight porn stars, and there is a description of the woman, it is easy, but it is less so when someone posts some random thing, that is not descriptive.


I hope you guys will consider these suggestions as i believe it will be much better for the adult websites forum, which is now drowning in ambiguity, "overcrowding" and terrible posts, threads and irrelevance.


I would even be happy to attempt some minor "modding" or whatever to help ease the congestion in there at the moment or any problems that would arise from the switchover.

I think this is a very important topic in terms of maintaining the high quality that LPSG has and that we all enjoy when we post here.

I think having a questions forum and a forum for amateur vids and pics would be great. I work hard to make my amateur vids and within 12 hours its on page 2 and by 24 hours its on page 3. Same would go for posting any pictures. Not to toot my own horn or anything...but i make them for the enjoyment of those who like Amateur vids.

people like yourself and myself and others who post good stuff for everyone are exactly who i am thinking about.

we all want to make the forum the best for all the folks to enjoy, and then i look and all the good threads are bumped back.

Well, I don't view that forum so I don't know how bad/frustrating the situation is... but until someone can make the situation better, you can do what lots of people do and post to your thread so that it goes back to the top of page 1. Most people just post the word "bump"...

I know how to "bump" threads...yes anyone can do that, but the forum has just become a mess of nonsense, completely irrelevant stuff.

It is less about bumping and more about filtering out things so that things are in their proper places, and then, bumping won't be that necessary.

it is frustrating to see 10 threads where someone posts a shot of half a dude's face and a penis with a mole on it or half a fake breast and then says "who is this?"

or when someone just shows up and starts a thread asking for things that could be achieved by google..."where can i find pictures of big balls?" or endless questions about random things that just jam up the forum with crap.

if people want to ask those kinds of questions and start those kinds of threads, they should do it in a subsection of the adult websites forum, so it does not drown the forum in useless threads and crowd out the quality ones.

i think they will since they are very pragmatic, and i think we could offer easy suggestions as i outlined in the OP...but it does take time, I think, to reformat the site for that.

maybe what they could also do to ease congestion in the meantime, is sticky some of the more popular threads, like yours, my link/video threads, the big boobs thread, Stratedude's Daily Movie thread etc...

otherwise i think it will just get worse and worse.

I am not normally this picky, but that place is getting silly.

I think that issues like this are best handled with ratings. Appartently the rating system needs some work, but it seems to get the most use in the Adult Websites forum. I don't think that further categories will help. What would be great is if people would rate highly the threads that they enjoy, and use lower ratings, or not at all, for those that they feel are useful.

normally, I would agree with you, Rob...but people just don't use it, and others tend to abuse it...

example: last month I reported a spammer who was linking to all kinds of crappy videos on very suspect sites, that had spamware, and popups etc. etc....

i rated his threads a "1 star", warned others by posting in the threads and had reported his posts to admin, and fortunately, he was banned the next time a mod came on, several hours later, but in the meantime, his "retaliation" was to go and rate two of my threads, which are very popular video link threads (Lex Steele and Mandingo etc.) with 1 star each...since few people seem to pay attention to the ratings, one of those threads is ranked a "3" and the other a "4"...people do not seem to care enough about the ratings system for some reason or other....that being said, it still does not change the fact that a 5 star thread can still be bumped all the way back to page whatever, while there are poor threads that simply keep getting posted one after another whenever someone feels the inclination to post something, no matter how arbitrary.

at the least, even a separation into only three sections would help immensely i.e.

Section 1 - Questions (who is this? Where can i find? What site has the best...

Section 2 - amateur video postings/personal video postings/ on xtube, pornotube etc.

Section 3 - video links/pro porn links/pro porn stars etc.



it is simply all the questions and silly links to irrelevant stuff that is causing the logjam and really bringing down the quality.
