That's true, best is subjective. I think McCartney is overrated, no hits since the 80's, but the Beatles I think are not.

I think as far as pop composers go, their talent declines over time. I read somewhere that musical IQ actually peaks in your early 20s. Considering this McCartney has actually lasted quite a long time. It was the solo McCartney that actually introduced me to the Beatles in the 90s(Ebony and Ivory, pipes of peace)
IMO McCartney is truely underrated. He's always dismissed as commercial and lacking content. This to me is just a negative interpretation for one of the greatest melodyists of our time. I think the socalled content popmusicians are the truely hyped/overrated composers musically speaking

Classical is definitely one of the German speaking countries Austria(Mozart, Haydn, etc) or Germany(Bach, beethoven,...)France, Poland, and Russia in tied 3rd place.

It really doesn't matter where punk 'came' from, and I don't think I'd be proud of that mindless music.

The band White Zombie (if that's where your screen name comes from) I'm sure were heavily influenced by punk and by Industrial (Ministry, Nine Inch Nails)
