I don't see any difference in the Biden of 2021 and the Biden of 1991. Biden's voice is not that of a great orator. But this is not new. Biden's speaking voice has always been a bit weak. However, a person's voice has no bearing on a person's mental ability.

As far as the US pulling out of Afghanistan, I'll wait until the first week in September to make an assessment of that withdrawal.

A lot depends on the Taliban. The Taliban may cooperate with the US because it is easier for the Taliban to allow several thousand local American allies there slip out of the country than try to round them up and then killing them after fake trials.

Biden may not be the first choice of president for many people in and out of the us. However, Biden for sure is a much, much better person to be US president that Donald Trump!

But for a soon to be 79 year old who's overcome a speech impediment (he wrote of it in back in 2011) I'd say he's doing fine enough for now. I always find it interesting when those who post with unabashed literacy and grammar challenges—and make no effort to improve—are shaming someone who has taken a personal challenge and for the most part conquered it. Considering all he has been through in life, he continues to be a role model of grace under pressure. Would that we all would be so accomplished.

It’s clear to everyone that Biden’s faculties are failing. It’s not simply his stumbling over words, or his poor delivery, even though many here took glee in criticizing both Bush and Trump for lesser speaking errors. No, it’s Biden’s foggy appearance. His glossy eyes. “They” won’t even let him take questions at news conferences for fear of his speaking off script, forcing us to watch as he shuffles off as reporters shout questions at his back. It’s sad, but more importantly, it’s scary and uncomfortable to watch. We need strong leadership in this time of crisis. We don’t have that right now. And the world knows it.
