I think this question is similar to "how big is your penis?" People are going to add at least 10 points.

Here is the chart:
Grade Range Percent
Genius 144 0.13%
Gifted 130-144 2.14%
Above average 115-129 13.59%
Higher average 100-114 34.13%
Lower average 85-99 34.13%
Below average 70-84 13.59%
Borderline low 55-69 2.14%
Low <55 0.13%

Workin' up a good pot of mad!

Perhaps ,or not share their true IQ (if it is very high)OR not share their IQ at all. I had never looked at a scale with my IQ on it until very recently. I think it is more what you do with it than what you had from jump street. "Genuis is 10% inspiration and 90% perspiration".

I tested at "gifted" and I'll leave out the number. I come from a long line of brainy people :)

It is enough sigma deviations from the norm that I used to think of myself as different or odd, and felt embarrassed about it when I was younger.

Now that I am a bit older I realize it is just an arbitrary metric that doesn't measure but a certain aspect of intelligence - and my sense tells me and my experience shows me there are many, many ways in which a person can express intelligence - and few of them are measured by Stanford-Binet or otherwise.

That aside, I still don't want to be judged or engaged with about it, so I'd rather not say.

naughty, I very much agree with your sentiment as it regards effort vs. potential - at least as it concerns achieving something of value in the world we live in.

i totally agree, and an IQ test is but a relative glimpse of someone's true potential to devenlop as a human
for expample: you could be sick and make the test crappy etc

however i was bored and wanted to start a random topic :D

Did the mensa test? If not the number is worthless. Also the used test must not have been older than 10 years.
Anything below IQ 70 is mentally disabled btw.

My PR is 98% btw. My co-worker was tested for an IQ of 150.

I don't think IQ really pertains to real life I know people who think there smart because of there IQ and can't keep there checking account in order.

The original quote is 1% inspiration and 99% perspiration I think.

As for IQ tests, I don't believe then. I score unusually high.

Oooh, a topic guaranteed to please only the already-quite-pleased-with-themselves!

Mine seems to fluctuate greatly depending on how much force hunger, lust, fear, et. al., exert on my better instincts.

I used the mensa test, it was a requirement for a program I was trying to get into in highschool. I tested in the 'OMG send him all sorts of pamphlets from big university range'. Im not saying the number.... But If my penis were my IQ (in relative to the rest of the populace) I'd die with a hardon :p
