Dude, E! made a chick famous for letting a dude film porking her. Not exactly the source I go to when I want serious commentary about the world.

Maybe not the world and maybe not all of america but serious social commentary on the portion of america that goes absolutely bat shit for fame at any cost. The fact that the thieves are now becoming famous proves how right good old andy warhol was in his 15 mins of fame prediction. (Not even gonna start on his "like button" prediction cause facebook is just too easy to target)

As sad as it is, it is kind of entertaining in a gruesomely devoid of value sort of way. Then again, i am heavy on the penis jokes so there's that.

hermione became a ho... Actually i see the movie for what it is. Emma Watson would not make a movie that does not have a point. "The Bling Ring is a 2013 American crime drama film based on true events." This is not a documentary. It's a movie just like Titanic. Something based on real life. It actually is an interesting movie. It shows how american are. A good example would be Americans watching the jersey shore or the kardashiens. or how ever you spell their name.

I personally liked the movie but i do admit that i am biased since I grew up watching movies with Emma.

Does Lohan or Hilton deserve their vast commodities? no. They are overpaid human beings who have more money invested in one piece of jewelery than most of us will make in a lifetime. And that 1 piece of jewelry is basically a grain of sand on a beach for these multimillionaires. However that doesnt make it ok for sociopaths to break in and take their shit. Making a movie about them basically lowers the standards in America by promoting to impressionable teens that this can be them. Whats the message then? Should they be scared to copy? The consequences seem to pay off more than stolen items.

im not worked up im just explaining the repercussions that shit like this has on American culture, little at a time it adds up. People are very impressionable here. One school shooter turned into dozens more. People copy what they see on the screen in America. Plus the real Alexis Neirs mom makes me want to gauge my eyes out when she talks.

Well I agree. i mean people do the stupid shit they see in tv. Like when i was in high school and jersey shore came out... everyone was fist pumping and I was the only person at the party who was grabbing his coat to go home... lol but i blame Americans. if they have no self control and a conscience, then that's their problem. who am i to control or judge what they watch. Same reason why i believe they should make weed and certain other drugs legal. If you want to screw up your life by doing stupid stuff then by all means do so. Just don't blame anyone else when you life has turn to shit. After the age of 14 you should have a good idea about how the world works. you have no excuses after that.

I agree fully. The repercussions will add up just like school shootings. Difference being though that i think this is evidence of a void that should be but will not be filled. Whenever you see an area overly abundant with/in something, you'll soon understand what that area is lacking. As in moral means all of dick when A. the people you're stealing from won't be affected in the least and B. morality means a hill of beans if you're fulfilling your own desires.

Which i think, is the overall commentary. aka Get rich or die/hurt someone/kill someone/disrespect someone/destroy something/steal from someone/lie to someone/fake something you are not/infect someone/generally fuck someone over or out of something..trying. I could be wrong though, as in we all could just be animals with animal instinct with no real way to understand or care about the repercussions of our actions. i.e. those squishy things in our heads and chestys.
