I know, I'm probably one of the last to see the film, but I just watched it tonight. Besides the obvious coolness of the hero action, the end had me say these words to my Catholic roommate when he asked why Batman took the blame: "Because they decided that Gotham needed a hero, and it would be better for them to believe the myth than to know the truth...just like with religion." Thoughts?
