I have worn jockstraps since 7th grade, when we had to wear them for gym class. The Coach would do a jock check to make sure we were stapped. The Coach would call the class to attention. He would than give the command..."undress the man in front of you...undress!" At that point we bent over, grabbed the hem of the shorts of the guy in front of us, and yanked his shorts to his knees. We then stood back at attention as the Coach scanned the guys to see who was and was not strapped. If you were not strapped you had to do laps for the whole period!

I developed a fetish for jocks even before 7th grade. I do feel a good fitting jock helps support your boys but I never thought they were crucial. A cup and jock for real contact sports is a must! I find jockstraps to be sexually stimulating to me. I have quite a collection (over 300) and wear a jockstrap often. For me the best jocks are the older Bike 10 jocks. I prefer the jockstrap to regular underwear. They make them in very soft fabrics now, with better straps taht don't cut into the skin. I find it hold's everything in place much better. But I much prefer to just not wear anything under pants.

May be dumb. But.... Guys in junior hi and high school don't wear jock straps now. There wear a piece that fits over their underwear that is more than a jock strap. It also takes the place some of the pads that guys who play football wear. I haven't seen on of these. I am just quoting what I have been told.

Yes that and another piece of equipment that includes an external, (over the underwear) and pads for the lower back for playing football.I forget what those pads are called. I think they were called hip pads. This new garment replacing both the jock strap and these pads. My understanding is that coaches prefer this garment because it does a better job of protecting the back and it is easier to do a "garment check" without invading privacy of a guy who does not want to be seen in only a jock strap. Most high school guys to day in our area would rather ride in the bus more than an hour ride home wet from playing in a game in pouring down rain than to remove their wet underwear in front of other guys even if the temperature is at or about freezing.

In reference to another post about coaches. We now have prosecuting attorneys and judges who would sentence a coach to years in jail for sitting in his office in just a jock strap even if the only guy who saw him was 17 and his birthday was the next day only 14 hours away. Even less than an hour wouldn't make a difference in the eyes of the law ACCORDING to these "sexually correct" people. If the coach could just wait one extra day, he could fuck his star quarterback senseless and the only consequence would be losing his job for inappropriate sexual conduct at the workplace again ACCORDING to the "sexually correct" people.

There are real reasons why the jock strap has lost favor for use by minors in public school situations.

Hmm. I look back on all the coaches and gym teachers I had as a kid and I can truly say never once did I get the idea they were interested in kids. Never.

It's so sad we're terrified of finding perverts everywhere. They wonder why more men don't go into elementary or secondary education and this is a contributing factor. Jockstraps are still in favour, just that the technical aspects of the jock are now incorporated into new protective underwear that had a space or pouch at the front area where you can slide in a protective cup, and at the same time your butt is covered in case of accidental, or indeed incidental, dacking from a opposing player or even team mate LOL.

When my brother was in school they didn't have their names on their jocks, shorts, shirts, socks, or towels.

Then for swim class speedos were required and again no names or numbers.

He said theyd just go in the locker room strip off all their clothes underwear included and everyone would just walk naked over to the uniform bins that were seperated by size, grab them and just put them on right there before headin out to the gym where the teacher would then require a daily jock check this was relatively easy and didn't invade privacy since thier shorts were short and they could just pull a butt strap out.

yea i noticed this the away team would always arrive and always leave in uniform no matter what the weather.

Also one of my friends would always love mud practice but hed never change at school after so his mom always got mad at him for getting the car dirty, and she would have his brother hose him off then have him strip in the backyard to keep the mud out of the house.

They were always clean when they put on new ones as there was an assistant who would wash all the uniforms every night.

My Brother also had the same policy regarding sports teams uniforms, for everything except for their jerseys since they had their names on them.

I know I would have loved to have had my uniforms washed for me when I was in sports.

I just asked him yesterday and he said that the policy applied to cups also, they were required to wear them for days of contact sports in gym class and for athletics.

Although they are not as universally worn as they once were, I feel Jockstraps will slowly but surely become more mainstream wear for gym and PE classes when more guys over time get over their body issues and nudity issues and realise that not all things are meaning to be gay despite gay culture glorifying it, much like the jockstrap is in porn and other gay entertainment, and blokes will realise what a good piece of sporting kit it is. When I was in high school, wear a jock was mandatory. In fact we had jock inspections at times. We had to reach up one of the legs of our gym shorts and pull the back leg strap out so the teacher could see that we had a jock on.
