I think Obama just pooped down his leg. McCain will be there.
Not sure about the pooping part. Obama planned to be there all along. And what exactly do you think Obama might be nervous about? McCain's amazing grasp of foreign policy, the global economy, or his amazing debating skills. Don't forget that McCain won't have Leiberman behind him to whisper in his ear when he has a senior moment.

Perhaps Obama is supposed to be afraid of McCain having an inability to make any decisive decisions-first he says he's not going to debate, then he will; but only if..., and now he will debate. The day's not done yet, McCain still has time to change his mind again.

Right. The guy was too chickenshit to face Letterman, so I'm sure that Obama is real worried.

You sure that was Obama's poop and not your own?

Ya, Letterman is a real daunting task. Pauly Shore can match wits and knowledge with Letterman.

Let's just see how the debate goes. I will give you that Barry is pretty strong with a telepromper. We'll see how he does when he is forced to formulate answers on live television.

I'll have the popcorn popped and a bottle of Pinot Noir ready to go............should be entertaining(I'll admit that if you ask Obama what time it is he'll tell you how to make a clock........you ask McCain the time and he won't understand the question and remind you he was a POW)

What ever will they talk about, the fact that neither has a real world solution to the mess we have going on ? It'll be a finger pointing debate and if the debate is on the issues, McCain is better off simply not showing up. The latest bailout news can't be spun positively especially for Republicans. I just hope they both can agree with each other that it's the same beautiful day of the week, regardless of who's to blame for the financial turmoil.

I cant wait for this showdown. I recall recently watching a clip of Obama on the O'Reilly Factor - if he cant survice the insufferable Bill, then Obama will walk it with Johnny Boy.

regardless of what they say- the answer is CLEAR..

McCain has no solution, and will entertain no solution that would change his intent to STEP UP military adventures in the near east.

Obama has no solution, but will entertain ANY potential solution, and is flexible enough to change HIS agenda to meet the crisis.

Most importantly- we have a democratic congress... a Republican president will only make it impossible for EITHER to act decisively.

A democratic president will get the support of a democratic congress... and thus be able to actually put a solution in place.

We have AMPLE HARD EVIDENCE that THIS crop of Republicans are fuck ups, ignoramuses and Corporate shills.

McCain is one of them- an original economy fucker upper going back to the Keating Con.

There is not a republican in congressional office who was not PARTY to creating this mess...

TIME to bench the republicans and wait for some new blood, and NEW IDEAS, from the conservative camp.

Time to put the OTHER team in power. Y'know- the ones who have been warning us of this republican hegemony for the last 6 years?
