Just passed 60, and still loves porn! And only positive effects from it.

Here is some thoughts on the technology all these over 50 years as a porn-lover. Hope you enjoy, and comment!

60s: Finding porn-mags in the woods. Sneak-reading Playboy at the hairdresser.

70s: Buying porn-mags in Sweden when on football tournaments there. (Sweden had free porn since ca 1970, Norway ca 2010)

80s: First half: Renting porn-videos AND a movie box for an evening of fun. Photographing from the video/TV with an Olympus and making dias slide shows! Not too expensive but not exactly 4k!!

80s: Second half: Now with my own VCR, and buying porn-videos on mail order, ouch expensive!

90s: First half: Occasionally renter a movie box to copy/edit porn-videos. (Editing away the stupid scenes from porn-movies is for me an absolute necessity!) In this manner reduce the porn-collection in volume and improve porn-quality but loss of picture quality. Bying my own vidcam. Making cock-videos of myself, masturbating, selfsucking, nude in nature etc which was fun watching and A LOT cheaper than buying porn-vids. (Still enjoy these vids 30 years later!)

90s: Second half: Having now two VCRs to at any time copy/edit porn-movies. Building up a collection of edited VCR-cassettes. 1996: INTERNET! WOW. Sneaking into office some eves and videofilm pics on the first porn-sites. Free but NOT 4k…..

2000s: First half: DVD! Bying porn-dvds on mailorder. Still expensive, but better than the VCR-yeas. Some nice offers of cheap DVDs could come up from time to time. And then also bying a DVD-recorder! Now transferring my old edited tapes to DVD, digitalized. (And more loss of pic-quality.)

2000s: Second half: Internet at home. Filming pornflicks and pics from the PC-screen with my 2006 model JVS vidcam. Then burn on DVD. Brave new world!! Still bying som dvds but less and less.

2010s: Net-porn getting better and better. New vidcam with recording digitally on a picture-card. Better quality when burning DVDs. In 2015 I had 100 x 6-hours DVDs, a nice collection and still recording from the net and burning new DVD ca every second month.

2020: New TV with harddisc input which can play files directly, so don’t have to burn DVDs anymore. But does not play all file-formats.

2021: Ripping all my 150 earlier DVDs to harddisc (with an extra HD as backup). Bought a new Sony 4k blu-ray player which can play all file formats kown. Better to have the HD into the Sony. AND: Discovered that the big free porn-sites have chromecast possibilities. WOW! Free porn directly on my 65 inch!! Fantastic.

2022: Filming/editing porn form my TV, which gives very good results. Cam I 720 p HD. Turning off all lights to avoid reflexes. Putting the new files into my HD and my collection are still growing. 160 DVDs digitally in the same HD, together with my own shoots form the 90s and with several ladies. And all hidden deep in the file-structure of the HD. Nice.



It has been a nice techno-ride all these years, and I think the tech now for pornfans are great! And now the porn-industry doesn’t rip me off anymore, its me that’s literally rip them off, nice!

To be honest, from before internet, from magazine to now.............the only thing that has changed is availability.

When I met my love, we hoped on cam...Anywebcam.com It was an Aussie run site, one of the first cam sites in the world.........it no longer exists. I was on it before I found LPSG all those years ago. LPSG later used Userplane. I remember all those years ago going to conferences, courses regarding the future of internet.

I'd only known her a week, but we cammed on the site together for a bit of fun.

It has been fun through the years....SX70 to the cam....but always polite, always fun, always respect.

There are many photos through time I could post. But, I don't, simply because respect for those I knew and know is paramount to all else.

I don't go as far back as you and my first discovery of porn and sexualized nudity was in the 80's and found magazines (mostly Playboys) were at first, the only game in town. Later in the decade, I would discover the Beta (yeah, I said Beta!) rentals which unlike soft-core photos, gave me a much better idea of how the whole sex thing worked and what fit into where.

At the decade's end and into the 90's, the wife and I started taking our own photos. At first, the only option was still the Polaroid until digital cameras became more prevalent and dropped in price. This was also when we made our first home movie with a rented VHS camcorder and viewing commercial porn still consisted of buying magazines or videotapes until we got a PC in the late 90's which opened up the nascent world of free online porn. Being able to search for images at the click of a mouse was the most amazing technology even if at the time being limited to 56k dial-up was enough to try the patience of a saint as it seemed to take forever for the good parts lower down to appear . We also used one of the earliest forms of adult video-chat programs to have sex in front of other couples, although between the low-res webcams and again, primitive modems, the technology and clarity was just not all there yet.

By the 2000's we took our own photos exclusively with a digital camera and had also made a few brief videos with a mini camcorder. My porn collection, never that extensive to begin with, was mostly of saved images from online and maybe a few dozen DVD's we would watch together. I likely bought my last paper magazine sometime during that decade. By then we started using online personals to look for other couples and it continued to be our main source throughout the decade once we entered the Lifestyle.
When high-speed internet and broad band became common, we started posting our photos to websites and almost all of my porn collection was saved images from the web.

By the 2010's and into this decade, the only porn I collect is free online and I haven't paid for it since then, whether it be a photo or video. We still continue to take and sometimes post our photos (and occasionally video clips) online with obviously better equipment then we started out or even a decade ago.

However overall, while there have been the obvious changes in porn technology for me as well when it comes to viewing and making it; it really isn't as important for me today as in times past as partly the novelty has worn off and maybe partly because viewing it, masturbation and sex doesn't play as a big of part of life as when I was younger.
