Drink more water, eat more fiber. Brown rice, wild rice, whole grains... greens, particularly spinach I think. Dried fruits like apricots... beans/lentils, nuts...

Go to Walmart and get some of the Equate brand sugar free orange flavor fiber laxative. Take a heaping tablespoon full every night in eight ounces of cold water. Stir it up real well and drink it down fast because if you let it sit it gets thick and is hard to swallow. It tastes like Tang and works very well to keep you regular without any unpleasant side effects. The Equate brand tastes and works better than Metamucil, and is also cheaper. A stomach doctor told me about this several years ago and it works very well and is not habit forming.

Water, fruit and Green Tea!

green Tea is a great detox tool but its awesome in making stuff flow too. If you're not a fan of the taste there are plenty of blends to have.

I like Green Tea & Jasmine and Green Tea & Lemon, give it a try; maybe a cup in the morning to start you up?

Drink plenty of water throughout the day, not only is it great for making it flow, it aids plenty in keeping you fresh, alert and feeling great.

Fruits are also a great alternative to if you have a sweet tooth and make you go.

Also, fiber is good but grains are actually terrible for digestion. Our bodies don't process them well and they cause inflammation in the digestive tract. Dairy is another culprit. Have your fiber in the form of vegetables rather than grains. They're lower in carbohydrates and more nutritionally sound, anyway.

What can one eat/do to improve the flow of ones digestive track.

Onions and garlic and a lot of water. Everything else is different from one person to another. For some high fiber cereal works or a bowl of oatmeal daily and for some it is lots of salads, or other roughage.

Another thing which will help your system work better is to address it by the correct name. Digestive TRACT. It may be minor but it was getting on my nerves and your digestive TRACT probably feels the same way.

Besides a well balanced diet... My b/f turned me onto digestive enzyme pills you can get at any health food store. The one given to me targets all differing types of food, so its a multiple enzyme tablet. I try to eat a balanced diet, but I can't always. I will be buying some for myself soon.
