Amen to that. I spent over $700 on books last semester, only to find out at the end of the semester that i couldn't sell a single one back to the bookstore because "new editions" were in. (Not to mention, 3 of the classes i bought them for, we didn't even use them)

The same thing always happened to me. The most expensive books have new editions every semester. It kinda made me wonder how much of what I learned would be all but obsolete by the time I got a job in the field, or atleast how much I wouldn't know that I needed to.

Private school vouchers: Just another in a string of schemes conservatives are pushing so they can feel justified in abandoning their societal obligations in favor of themselves.

I wish fiscal conservatives would be honest for once and just come right out and say what they mean: "We only care about lower taxes on ourselves, social consequences be damned."
