Did anyone else watch it? What did you think? And it said that over half of British adults favour the reintroduction of the death penalty in the British Isles. Do you?
I had no idea he was being executed. I personally disapprove of the death penalty in all forms, and find a >50% approval rating a bit dubious tbh.
Oh haha. Well then. No I didn't watch it, but I might try and catch it on iPlayer/4od/a n other catch-up feature.
I hope it becomes available on this side of the pond. I would like to see it. Did anything come of this story? Gary Glitter may sue Channel 4 over TV 'execution' - mirror.co.uk
It was on Channel4 NY, do you have access to 4od over there? As for if anything came of that story... I've no idea, sorry. Hadn't even heard about it!
I'll check with my cable company, but I tend to doubt that I have access. I feel lucky to have BBC America.
If it's like everything else BBC then it only accepts IP addresses from inside the UK. You'd have to spoof a Brit IP (and they wonder why their shows are the most pirated in the world). Hmmph.
I didn't see it but I'll probably catch up with it via Virgin On Demand this week. I'm not in favour of the death penalty.Too many people are wrongly convicted.Granting a pardon after a miscarriage of justice resulting in execution isn't much of a comfort to the bereaved families. Channel 4 is a commercial channel. They don't get any money from the BBC licence fee. It won't be online outside the UK for copyright reasons.
True. I can't even get it here in Spain. You can easily get a proxy UK IP address though. Just try google
Not worth the effort. But the next time I ever hear a Brit complain about America's expansive culture I'm going to throw shit like this right back at them. I'm still waiting like a spider for a Frenchie to say anything about the US now that they're allowing a McDonald's in the Louvre.
Quite the provocative thread title? Did they spoof this because he's a child molester? I saw him on the street here one day yeeeeeeears ago and he was odd even then. Can someone explain the premise of this show besides the thread title?
