A conservative denier of discrimination and disparity wrote in another thread that liberals were "delusional" to think a conservative dominated Supreme Court would reverse Roe vs. Wade.

However, According to the article linked below, the stage is being set, and the process HAS ALREADY BEGUN:

While the Senate fights over Brett Kavanaugh’s nomination, conservative judges prepare for him to strike down abortion rights.

from the above:

"As the Senate mulls the confirmation of Judge Brett Kavanaugh to the U.S. Supreme Court, anti-abortion judges are wasting no time laying the groundwork for the reversal of Roe v. Wade.

Earlier in September, the 8th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals upheld two abortion restrictions that are patently unconstitutional under Supreme Court precedent.

On Wednesday, the 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals pulled the same trick, affirming the legality of an anti-choice Louisiana regulation that’s identical to a law the Supreme Court struck down in 2016."

Elections have consequences and all the people that said "Hillary is just as bad" and sat home. Unconscious and unaware how conservatives have played the long game now for 30 years in their effort to undo Roe vs. Wade. Moderates and progressives were outmaneuvered and the battle is almost lost not the war. That will never end.

Pro-corporate, anti-woman, anti-non-white... Trump's America in a nutshell.

I'm ashamed of my species more often than not.

Oh yeah. Trump's America is to spit on the face of anyone that isn't male, white, rich, straight and Christian. Arctic lakes are now bubbling up great stuff. In Trumpville climate change is fake fake fake.

Across the Arctic, lakes are leaking dangerous greenhouse gases. And one lake is behaving very strangely

Thanks for the responses @Tight_N_Juicy @sargon20 .

The fact is, we've been writing/posting about the GOP attack on women for quite some time now, long BEFORE Trump entered the Oval Office on a freak electoral college win over the will of the MAJORITY of voters.

We've posted and linked articles about their efforts to undermine Planned Parenthood, healthcare provisions for women and children, and their efforts to alter the very definition of rape and sexual assault.

Murkowski blasts the GOP's 'attack on women' | MSNBC

The GOP’s 10 Most Extreme Attacks On A Woman’s Right To Choose An Abortion – ThinkProgress

The Campaign Against Women - The New York Times

And they're STILL at it.

While naysayers, defenders, shills, and apologists for Trump and the GOP, conservatives, bigots, the out of touch, and the would be "devil's advocates" have shown up to dismiss our concerns, to call us hate mongers, alarmists, and chicken little,

Trump, conservatives, and the GOP have been QUIETLY and SYSTEMATICALLY dismantling, undermining, and reversing gains in healthcare and civil rights legislation, including that pertaining to women's rights.

Even though their intent at doing so is CLEARLY outlined in their agendas... in their Heritage Foundation's "Blueprint for a New Administration" and in their 2016 Republican Party Platform MANY seem UNAWARE.

By the time most wake up to the realization of what they've DONE... to what they've BEEN up to, it JUST may be TOO LATE:

While Moore Runs For Senate, Women And Children's Health Is Under Attack By GOP

Republicans Are Waging A 'Coordinated Attack' On Women’s Health Care | HuffPost

Exactly. And I'll go ahead and say it out loud: If Clinton wasn't a woman she'd have won by a landslide. The fkng November election wouldn't have even been CLOSE.

A lot of people didn't like her for many of the SAME characteristics they consider strengths in a man.

When Trump called her a "nasty woman" in that last debate, that was dog whistle for "uppity woman who knows what the fuck she speaks of" and who's wasn't all that apologetic about it. Like ARROGANT was applied to Obama.

Imagine that... one of the "nastiest" fkrs around, the one who said "bleeding from the whatever" and "I'd like to punch him in the face" and "I could shoot someone and not lose support"... calling someone ELSE nasty.

Talk about your FKN gall. And they say PRIVILEGE is a fantasy.

If Hillary Clinton wasn't a woman then she wouldn't be Hillary Clinton. It's really hard to say what the response would've been to this non-existent person you are imagining.

I didn't vote for HRC, and if the election were held again today, I probably wouldn't vote for her again--as much as I hate Trump, it will be easier to undo Trump than it would've been to undo whatever damage she did. His will be obvious. Hers would've been pernicious.

As I said a long time ago, 'just because I don't want HRC doesn't mean I don't want a woman president.'

Easier to undo Trump?

I strongly, Strongly disagree. And anyone who remembers the election knows, I am Not Hillary supporter. I kinda hate her, as a politician. But to say that she would be worse than this self-tanner addicted pervert, just... No.

The damage from the courts alone will last more than a generation. I respect your feelings, but I really disagree with you on this point.

As do I, Keen, disagree with him.

Imo, when people say that someone like Hillary would've done more damage (subtly or NOT) than Trump, it is pretty much a revelation of what THEY see as matters of importance... and what they DON'T.

Not only has Trump and the GOP done damage via their retrogressive policies, obstructionism, and judicial appointments,

but their efforts at disenfranchising mostly minority voters, opposing minimum wage increases, undoing the Affordable Care Act, cutting assistance programs for the needy and women, and rolling back affirmative action and Roe vs Wade,

Trump's efforts at demonizing the press, blurring the lines between separation of powers, violations of the emoluments clause, and undermining of the rule of law,

their language in policies and political platforms that condemns same sex marriages and defends the "religious right" to discriminate against people,

their demonization of Muslims, the #metoo movement, protestors against police misconduct, transgenders in the military, Latino immigrants, and other minorities,

AND the subsequent increase in blatant and outwardly demonstrative expressions of hate, racism, and bigotry as a direct result of Trump's rhetoric and those that support and defend it,

makes ME wonder how ANYONE, by any FAIR assessment, could POSSIBLY say that a Hillary presidency would've been worse.

Really she was going to just exactly what ????

Preserved Roe v Wade ?

Ppreserved same sex marriage?

Did what she could to make the ACA work ?

Don't like abortion? Don't get one

Don't like gay marriage? Don't get gay married

No one is going to hold a gun to your head and make you do either.

Don't like the ACA ? You would rather "they" keep using the ER and sticking YOU with the bill ?

There are a lot of GOP members who do not truly believe in the Separation of Church and State. Since Trump's been elected, certain religious groups believe that he was put in power just for their cause. It's really sick and twisted.

People can still believe in pink unicorns and be respected more than those of us who do not. They want to legislate based on their beliefs in these mythical creatures.

John Adams, our 2nd president, made it very clear that the American government is not in any way based on Christianity, or any branch thereof.

Religion has lead to such terrible things in our history, yet we're still clinging for it. It makes us warrior-like tribal. Such a shame.

Isn't that the fundamental problem, though? How is getting gay married or getting an abortion negatively affecting a third party's pursuit to happiness? These divisive issues at the end of the day are all about a tribal desire to control others' sexuality and bodies.

A person is allowed to think I am immoral or bad, but they don't have a right to take away my right to pursue happiness, unless it infringes on their right to pursue happiness.

Hillary would not have praised dictators, either. She would not have sought approval and affection from one of American's greatest foes, Vladimir Putin, who wants nothing more than to see the US disintegrate into the finest of dust.

What Trump does with Putin is downright dangerous and, yes, treasonous. Makes me want to flee the US and never return.

The Russian government is trying to create a civil war in America. They want violence to break out between different political and cultural tribes. It's their end-goal. Trump supporters cannot see the big picture.

Exactly. I'm still waiting to hear all the horrible things, the things worse than what Trump has done, that Hillary was going to do. This is also what pisses me off about liberals who play devil's advocate and lend legitimacy to the "demon Hillary" narrative.

Besides, meeting Trump supporters halfway by lending support to THAT particular narrative NEVER resulted in their reciprocating or acquiescing in similar fashion. And time and time again we're REMINDED of that fact, whenever someone comes along and says something like how "Hillary would've done more damage."

Yes, misogyny played its part in this election. Why DENY it? Why, instead, buy into the notion that there was something particularly flawed in her character to the degree that justified her being judged MORE harshly, that made her MORE culpable, than her male opponent?

It was BULLSHIT. Why BUY INTO it??

Furthermore, what did supporting ANY of that do for us? Except to further enable the Trump Clown Show Shit Storm.

... knives to a fkn gunfight.

Same thing with Nancy Pelosi. She has been one of the most effective speakers in a generation. But the reptile republicans have used their barely hidden misogyny to demoralize her and use her as some evil villian that must be defeated. Remember the GOP's "Fire Pelosi 2010 Bus Tour"?

Just like Republican voter-suppression tactics are really about the integrity of the ballot, laws imposing draconian regulations on abortion clinics are really about protecting women’s health, and when President Trump attacks football players and LeBron James and Maxine Waters, it has nothing to do with race.

We all know what’s really going on. The Republican attack on Pelosi is about conservative identity politics, full stop. It’s partly the same kind of ugly misogyny that has driven conservatives for years, and that comes out whenever the prospect of a woman wielding genuine power rears its head. Women who display ambition are judged harshly, particularly by conservatives. The only people that should have power are well white men. Women and minorities step to the back of the bus and shut the fuck up.

Opinion | What Republican attacks on Nancy Pelosi are really about

People are loathe to admit they were wrong. So they keep on saying they made the right choice in spite of the obvious. The Trumpsters will never ever admit they were wrong. I overheard one the other day say "I don't watch the news anymore. CNN is propaganda". Just turn turn off the evidence and retain our beliefs.

Alexander Pope (1688-1744) famously wrote, “to err is human, to forgive divine,” but consider this updated revision: “to err is human, to admit divine.”

What I've found is that people who say that Trump's idiotic time as Resident can be undone easily are those least affected currently. Ask a Muslim how true that is. Ask members of the LGBTQ population. Ask an African-American. Ask a woman. ask anyone poor. Ask any of those targeted by this administration. Ask them how they feel.
