I had the pleasure of seeing Gojira play last year at an All That Remains show.. i was impressed..the wall of death from that show had a lot of people bleeding and broken..lol ..my kinda show
Sweet. Glad you liked them.

And Nevermore are friends of mine. I have known them for 22 years since they were known as Sanctuary. Great band. I just hope things go swimmingly with Jeff Loomis (guitar GOD) and Van Williams (drum GOD) out of the fold. :(

Anni- Mmmmmmm Big Hug for you !!!! I did not know you were a metalhead, already liked you and now I love you ! :)

I wish I could have, but I was in Europe at the time. Rudra is probably my favorite metal band.

I'm not quite sure what the next metal show I'm going to is; maybe Turisas and Alestorm, but I'm not sure. I probably won't see Opeth again. I saw them last time they came around, and while I enjoyed the setlist, I would have much rather heard their heavier stuff.

I'd argue that they are, just not very good metal.

Yeah Opeth might be a Sleep induced coma this time around but I am really going to see Ghost from Sweden (Whom I saw at MDF last year and were AMAZING) and Mastodon (whom I have never seen before)

Turisas I saw at Wacken Open Air 2007 in Germany. Blew me away. I saw Alestorm a couple of years ago on the Paganfest and was pretty impressed. Then I saw them just this past January on the 70000 Tons of Metal Cruise and they were excellent.

*turns green with envy* Please thank them for melting my brain the next time you see 'em.

"Battle Angels" by Sanctuary is one of my all time favorite metal songs.

\m/ LOL I will do, tell them someone from Large PENIS support group forum says Thank you and Hi. :)

I see them at shows (warrel dane (vocals) and jim sheppard (bass). They are back together and a super good friend of mine joined Sanctuary on lead guitar, Brad Hull (ex Forced Entry) !!! They are recording a new album as I type this. And played 3 shows in Seattle and a couple in Tokyo and L.A. and one in Atlanta. I saw them on the 70000 Tons of Metal Cruise out of Miami in 2011 as well. Nevermore played that too and my friend Dagna played bass for Nevermore. Filing in. :) I am wearing my Sanctuary - Refuge Denied t-shirt in my avatar pic BTW.

Cheers !!!

Yeah, I'm sure that they'll wanna know that Hand_Solo has listened to Dead Heart in a Dead World in his car until it's almost worn out. I caught Nevermore a few years ago at a small local venue. Can't even remember who they played with, though it doesn't really matter, just went to see them.

Northern California. Wasn't Behemoth and Iced Earth with them when I saw them. That I would have remembered as I like both thos bands as well. Just looked it up--they played with In Flames, Throwdown and Evergrey.

Ozzy,CoC, JP , and I do like Metallica even past load.
Megadeth. IM....
Testament , really liked Low, (live at the filmore) and James Murphy's convergence was good.

GnR never got into, just don't like em.

Have I told you lately that I love you?

Seriously, Hells Yes to the metal. I'll post some Youtube Links when I get a chance, but yeah, it's all about the:

Old School Metallica
Motorhead
Sabbath
Maiden
CoC
Down
Megadeth
Black Label Society
Guns N Roses (Not Axl's new Runs N Poses)
Overkill
Testament
Priest
Ozzy
Dio

Ozzy and Sabbath are two different groups. I hate it when I ask people "what's your favorite Ozzy song?" and they go "Paranoid." Gives me teh Raygess.

I saw Mastodon on their Crack the Skye tour, and they were awesome. They played the entirety of Crack the Skye (which is by far my favorite of their albums), plus two songs from each of their previous three albums, as well as a Melvins cover.

I've never seen Turisas, but I've seen Alestorm before. I just like folk metal shows in general. They're always fun.

Oh fuck yeah metal thread \m/

Dream Theater is probably still my favorite band, but I've got lots of different interests, ranging from the classics-Sabbath and Maiden-to the thrashy-Megadeth and (fuckin') Slayer- to lots of newer stuff. System of a Down is also a favorite.

yes as seen in the Pantera - Vulgar Videos DVD. :) It's hard to tell with those images/gif. When he jumps on that bed, his big dick is just flopping .

Anyone ever go to Maryland Deathfest ? One of Phils friends band "EyeHateGod" are playing this year. :) Phil wore a EHG shirt in one of the Pantera vids from Vulgar Display of Power (maybe Walk..)

Yes, RIP to the hand that wrote and quickly moved away. :frown1:

That Heaven and Hell video is awesome by the way. Hadn't seen it. -Thanks!
I saw them on the Heaven and Hell tour. i was 14 and it was part of the "Black and Blue" tour. Blue Oyster Cult/Black Sabbath/Molly Hatchet/Riot a Veterans Memorial Coliseum on July 19th, 1980. Friggin' AMAZING. I saw them again with RJD in 1992 on the "Dehumanzier" tour with Motorhead and Tiamat as support acts. Then I saw them a couple of years ago before Ronnie passed as "Heaven and Hell" when they reunited. I saw Dio 7 times solo, including Wacken Open Air Festival 2004 "Stand up and Shout" !! That's what he opened with. I willl never forget it for as long as I shall live.....

No prob. Yes, great vid. Dio had one of, if not the greatest, hard rock voices of all-time. He is missed.

I envy you, that's is indeed an amazing line-up. Well before my time but I would have loved to have especially seen B.O.C., Sabbath and Dio in concert.
