Hands down the best Heavy Metal band is Black Sabbath. The others don't even come close .In 1970 i was 10 years old when i bought their first album. In 1972 they released Vol..4. Perhaps the best heavy metal album ever made. They laid down the blueprint for all the other bands to follow. Here is the album.

Black Sabbath - Vol. 4. [Full Album]

Chevelle - Still Running - YouTube

I saw these guys(GWAR) for the first time on a golf course in Virginia 23years ago playing on a monster half pike at a 50 keg party, the party broke up when police hellicopters closed it down after two days of crazy shit, that was once hell of a weekend.

I envy you, that's is indeed an amazing line-up.
Me too. You've seen some damn good shows Bimetaldude! I've only caught Dio once around the Last in Line tour, and never Sabbath. If you're still in here, you like "Elf" at all? Annie New Orleans rocks. Got it on my exercise disk. 100% Dio, but on a rock&roll thing.

Mr. Snakey- I've got uncles here that all caught Sabbath at a small arena at a time I'm guessing was around those first couple albums. I don't think they appreciated it like we would though, but they do like old Deep Purple and stuff, so it's not likely they hated it.
