The Kama Sutra's interpretation of genital sizes

As some of you may already know, the Kama Sutra classifies both men and women in three sizes, from smallest to biggest:

Men:
Hare (Smaller)
Bull (Medium)
Horse (Big)

Women:
Doe (Smaller)
Cow (Medium)
Elephant (Big)

If this were translated to modern day measurements, what do you think the ranges would be? What would YOU be? I know this is LSPG but not all of us are endowed...some of us even have vaginas. LOL.

I never really knew about this. I've just began reading about the Kama Sutra...pretty interesting stuff.

Average penis size studies are just frought with contradictions. My guess is that you'd have to know the vaginal dimensions of Indian women to figure it all out plus look at when and where the book was written and within which ethnic group and if that ethnic group still exists AND if they shared the same racial characteristics of present day Indians. Perhaps the place where it was written was known to outsiders as, "The City of the Men with Elephant Penises?"

It's interesting that the Kama Sutra's categories are qualitative rather than quantitative. In my experience women tend to categorize cock sizes in much this way. It is generally men who insist on precise measurements. Hmm, does this indicate that the Kama Sutra may have been written by a woman?

No, the Kama Sutra was written by Vatsyayana, who was a man.

... 82% of these women were content with a penis that was big enough to satisfy them, which averaged at about 6 inches .... there was a small percentage (9%) who wanted a penis that was larger than average (7 to 8 inches). There was also a minute amount of women (2%) who preferred mammoth-sized penises (10 to 12 inches). And lastly, 7% preferred a penis that was smaller than average (about 5 inches)

So, it seems that roughly 80% of women are "cows" who like a 6 inch penis, roughly 10% are "elephants" who like penises over 7 inches, and another 10% are "does" who like 5 inch penises.

Ancient indian art is full of graphic depictions of sex. In my copy of the Kama Sutra (see Amazon.com: The Complete Illustrated Kama Sutra: Books: Lance Dane) most of the ancient images seem to depict men in the 6 or 7 inch range. There are a few images of big dicks, some huge (one depicting a man standing upright, holding his gigantic semi-flacid penis to his face), and very few tiny. I guess it's just not interesting to show small cocks in porn, even in ancient porn!
