She was an absolutely SICK musician and songwriter... I had no idea until I was about 25 that she was a drummer/singer.

She is the most successful female drummer/singer that ever lived. Playing drums and singing is NOT easy... it is extremely difficult!!!

She is one of my musical heroes.

I think karen carpenter is a once in a lifetime singer. Her vocie is almost unmatchable for its field. Maybe its even genius. Paul williams once said that someone said her voice was too vanilla but that vanilla was an exquisite favor. Singers and voices like that and the other circumstances that come into play are very rare but after seeing talyor swift's 2 videos hers is a very rare talent too. I don't know if she'll just fade away like almost everybody else.

I love Karen Carpenter's voice and I hate her mother Agnes for neglected her and destroyed her self-confidence. For me she has the fault for Karen's anorexy.
