She pulled into the parking lot at work and Kyle texted her.

He told her to have a great day, he was tired from texting with her, but it was worth it. She answered him and told him that she woke up in a good mood. He might have to keep up those late night texts she added, followed by lol. She hit send. Before she got to the door, he answered her with a smiley face. Jess walked into the building with a huge smile on her face. Her day was starting out well!

Jess and Kyle texted a few times throughout the day. Jess was in a good mood all day long. She was excited to chat with him. He just made her feel good. She sensed that he genuinely cared when he asked her something. She wanted to find out more about him too, besides the things she already knew. Jess waited for Cully to get into her room at the end of the day. She asked him how his day was and they were out the door.

Kyle sent her a text as soon as she reached her car. I have practice now he said, so I wont be able to talk, but I hope it ok to talk to you after I am done? Jess responded, telling him of course it was ok, I would like that she added. She sent him a big, fat smiley face as her and her son drove home. Jess entered the house and she sat down in the chair as she hummed. Cully asked her what was wrong, she giggled at him, telling him nothing.

Jess and Kyle texted for a few hours once he finished his practice. Then, they both agreed to take a break for supper. Jess and Cully finished eating and then she told him he could play for bit before he needed to take his shower and get ready for bed. Jess grabbed her book to read, but she had a hard time reading it and following along. She was too easily distracted. She kept checking her phone to see if Kyle had text her yet.

Finally, she sent Cully to shower and at the same time, Kyle messaged her asking how supper was. She responded and told her that it was great, and she was trying to get her son ready for bed. Let me know when he goes to bed and I will wait until then to talk to you more. That's kind of you she replied to her new love interest.

Jess was really impressed with this kind, younger man. Even though she had already slept with him and spent some time with him, she thought maybe this time was going to be different. She couldn't wait to see and find out if that was right! In fact, she decided then that once Cully was out of the shower and into bed, she would just give Kyle a phone call.

Jess got her son settled into bed. She let him watch the tv for a bit as he tried to fall asleep. She headed back out to the living room. She picked up her cell phone. Jess drew a deep breath. She pushed her hair back and adjusted her pony tail. Once more, she drew a deep breath. Then, of course, her mind began to play tricks on her. What if he just wanted her body again. What if he just wanted to fuck and that was it. After all, he was about 5 years younger than her and she did have a kid.

Finally, Jess decided that was a chance she was going to have to take. She texted him and asked if he was busy? Immediately, Kyle responded, nope, I'm just watching tv. Jess pushed the button on her phone to dial his number. She drew another deep breath. Kyle answered, well hello there! This is a nice surprise he told her. Jess smiled, grinning from ear to ear.

Jess and Kyle talked on the phone for nearly 4 hours. The conversation just flowed so easily. It was nice and refreshing for her. She found her stomach feeling all giddy when he talked to her, especially when he asked her questions and showed an interest in her activities and Cullen.

At midnight, they both announced that they should get to bed. Then, of course, something else would come up in the conversation and it would keep them chatting even longer. Finally, at 1 in the morning, Jess put her foot down. I really need to let you go and get to bed, you know, since you told me how important sleep is to you. Kyle laughed, that's ok, I think I want to risk it tonight he told her. Jess felt her face blush.

That's very sweet of you she told him. So are you always such a sweet guy, she asked him. I am if I am interested in someone. Jess felt her heart begin to beat fast. She didn't know what to say. Luckily, Kyle asked her if she would keep her weekend open. He then asked her out. Jess said she would check, not wanting to be that easy for him. She bid him good night, as he did her and they hung up. Jess slept with a smile on her face that night.

Jess awoke the next morning. She grabbed her phone. She scrolled threw the text messages between her and Kyle. She finished re-reading them. She sent him a quick one, it simply said, I beat you this morning, hope you slept well! Jess put the phone down. She got up and got ready for the day. She woke her son up.

Cullen got ready as Jess drank some warm tea that morning. Once again, Cullen noticed the big smile on her face. He asked her what was going on. Nothing she smiled at him. He just shook his head as he put on his shoes. Jess grabbed her purse, bag, and phone. They got in the car and she headed for school. Jess heard her phone buzz as it was on silent.

She pulled it out and looked at it. It was a new text from Kyle. She opened it and read it. You sure did today, I hope you slept well too, I know I did. Jess pulled into the parking lot at work. She typed a quick text to send to Kyle. She told him she had a big smile on her face last night when she slept and again this morning, Cully even noticed it! Kyle answered quickly, I know its a beautiful smile he told her, he is lucky he gets to see it! Jess grabbed the phone and opened the camera. She snapped a quick picture and sent it to Kyle. Have a good day she told him.

Jess got into her classroom. Immediately she began to get ready for the day. She checked her phone. There was a new message. She opened it. Kyle told her that that made his day, he knew it was going to be great now. He then added that she was so beautiful. Jess felt her face turn red. She was flattered.

Jess stood at her desk. She checked her calendar. There was nothing planned for the weekend. She text Kyle, letting him know she was free. He answered back, well I was thinking maybe Friday night, you and I can go out and then on Saturday, Cullen, you and I can all go out, if you think that would be ok. Jess didn't even have to think. I would like that she texted him back. Her smiled stayed on her face all day long.

She couldn't wait till her day to end. She was wanting to talk with Kyle again. He just made her feel at ease and the conversation was so easy. The rest of the week went by quickly. They continued to chat through texts, emails, and phone conversations. Jess's smile never left her face. She got a sitter for Cully on Friday night. She was nervous as she tried to find something to wear on her date with Kyle. She wanted to look nice but still be comfortable.

She finally settled on some khaki capris and a firm fitting blue top. She hoped Kyle liked it. Her stomach began to turn in knots as she waited for him. She was almost ready. She was relieved that she dropped Cully off at the sitters, there was no telling what he would say. She sat on the couch and waited, staring at the clock. She still had about ten minutes until he said he would pick her up. Jess heard a door slam. She knew it was him.

She drew a deep breath. Kyle knocked on the door. Jess stood up. She walked over to the front door and opened it. Kyle had his hands behind his back. She opened the door and welcomed him inside. Jess backed up, allowing him to come in. He brought his hands out from his back. He had a nice bouquet of roses for her. She was stunned. She hadn't really been treated this way since Cullen's father and her started dating. Jess thanked him as she accepted them.

Jess leaned into him and kissed him softly on the cheek. Kyle smiled at her. He watched as Jess put them on the counter in a vase. He asked her if she was ready to go. He complimented her clothes and Jess thanked him. She told him she really liked his shorts and polo. Kyle waited for her on the deck as she shut the door and locked it behind them. Jess felt Kyle reach for her hand as they walked to his car. She accepted it.

Jess followed as Chris led them to the passenger side of his car. He opened the door for her and helped her inside. He shut the door behind her and got in the drivers seat. He started the car. His own heart was pumping fast. He wanted tonight to go great! Their conversation was easy as they drove to supper. He pulled in the parking lot and told Jess to hold on. He walked over to her door and opened it for her. He reached for her hand and they walked inside.

The meal was perfect and Jess found herself laughing as they chatted. The conversation was interesting. She was impressed with him. Jess excused herself to the go the bathroom. She freshened up. She came back to the booth. She sat back down. They enjoyed a drink after their meal. Chris asked her what she wanted to do next.

I am up for anything fun she told him. What would you think about a movie? Would you like to see if there are any good ones playing soon? Jess nodded her head, I would like that she answered to him. Chris paid the bill and left a tip. Again, he reached for her hand as they walked out into the cool night.

They drove to the movie theater. Luckily, since there were six different movies to see they agreed on one. Jess was glad he picked the romantic movie for her. He paid for their way in and they found a seat. Soon, Jess felt Chris's hand on hers as they waited for the show to start. It felt natural to her and made her feel wanted. She formed a smile on her face.

The movie ended. They walked back out to the car hand in hand. Jess grabbed her phone and asked Chris if it was ok that she called her son. Of course, you don't even have to ask, he stated. She apologized and said she was enjoying her evening with him a lot, but she still wanted to check in with her son. She called her dad's house and talked to him real quick. Then, she talked to Cully on the phone. He asked if he could spend the night with grandpa, so Jess said she would check again.

Jess soon felt Chris's hand on hers as she continued talking. She opened her hand and wrapped her fingers in his. She quickly asked her dad if it was ok for him to spend the night. She told Cully she loved him and to be good. She hung up. Chris asked her if everything was ok, and she smiled at him for asking.

Chris continued the drive. Jess looked up on the road. She wasn't sure why they were heading north now, because they both lived south. She shrugged it off. Finally, she asked him where they were headed. I have a surprise for you Chris told her. Jess felt excited that he would do something like that. He was a great guy she thought to herself.

About ten minutes later they pulled into the parking lot. Chris came around and opened her door. He helped her out. Jess had a puzzled look on her face. Chris reached into her pocket. He pulled out two pennies for her. I thought you might like to make a wish. I brought a penny with your birth year on it and one with Cully's birth year on it. How did you know all that she asked? I stalked your facebook he told her. Jess smiled and accepted the pennies into her hand.

Jess reached for his hand and held it as they walked to the fountain. It was a really beautiful night and all the stars were out. She held his hand tight in hers. It seemed just like high school and her first dates. Her stomach was giddy. THey reached the fountain. Chris told her to close her eyes and make a wish.

First, Jess threw in the penny for Cully. She smiled. Then, she watched as Chris followed with his penny for himself. Then, Jess closed her eyes again, and drew a deep breath. She took her time as she thought in her head what she wished for. Satisfied, she dropped the penny into the fountain. She leaned over to Chris and kissed him softly on the cheek.

Chris announced to her, well I got my wish, he said with a smirk. Jess smacked his shoulder. Thank you, she told him, this idea was very romantic of you. I am impressed. They walked back to his car hand in hand. He opened the door for Jess. She buckled up as he got in and did the same. They headed back for Jess's place, still holding hands on the drive home.

Chris pulled into the drive. He put the car in park and turned to face Jess. I had a great time tonight he told her. Jess smiled, me too, she admitted. I would like to do it again sometime he asked. Jess smiled and said she would like that. Chris drew a deep breath, good, I was hoping you would say that, he told her. Chris leaned closer to Jess. Jess accepted and moved closer to him.

She cold feel his breath. She closed her eyes. His hand reached the side of her face. He held it as he leaned forward and kissed her softly on the lips. Jess was disappointed as he drew away from her. She wanted more from him. Jess looked at him and smiled. would you like to come inside she asked the younger, cute man?
