So after tonight's news I found myself wondering, "So what 'mavericky' things have I done today?"

    Well, I:

brushed my teeth in the shower...

    drove 55 in a 45mph zone...

backed out an onramp (with a couple of others) when realized interstate traffic was just sitting there...

bought a protein bar i've never tried before...ooooh

wore a jacket (and it wasn't even cold)...

It's only 7:30am and already I've shaved in the shower and put milk in my coffee. I'll try to keep up the roguishness all day and report back later.

I have to start now and freeze things, Otherwise I'll turn into Martha Stewart from Hell. I have 25 pounds of flour and sugar, a gallon of Caro syrup, 15 pounds of walnuts and pecans, and 10 pounds of butter and chocolate to transform into edible delights before December 6th!

I'm considering making a Monte Cristo for dinner, but with salami instead of ham.

Sorry, nudeyorker, but making Christmas cookies before Thanksgiving and freezing everything so you're ready for December 6th sort of indicates you've already turned into the Martha Stewart from Hell.

Although, I saw her recently on Nightline and found her to be terrifically honest and in-everyone's-face regarding the fact she doesn't feel the need to apologize to the world for being who she is. Kudos for her. So, embrace your inner Martha. It's a good thing.:biggrin1:

I have Heavycream ordered from a dairy in NJ that I'm picking up on Wednesday. Next weekend will be the rich part of my seasonal Martha Stewart mode. BTW we just got a Costco in NYC; I'm loving it. It is so worth the schlep to get 10 Madagascar vanilla beans for $12.00 vs paying $9.00 for two at the supermarket.

I live in a part of the country where they don't even know where Madagascar is or how to pronounce it much less be able to buy vanilla beans. God, I need to move back to civilization and soon.

I'm coming to your house for the holidays.

If you can hold off until we get settled in our new house it will be much more festive! You won't have to sleep on the pull out sofa bed!
