McCain advisor Carly Fiorina announced today that the SNL skit starring Tina Fey as Sarah Palin was "sexist" and "demeaning". As she went on, it became apparent that her objection was primarily due to the fact that the vice presidential candidate had been depicted as being lightweight and lacking substance.
The fact that the dialogue was based heavily on Sarah's interview with "Charlie, Charlie, Charlie, Gibson" where she specifically referenced being able to see Russia from Alaska, and did not understand what the Bush Doctrine was, was not mentioned. Nor was the fact that, in the skit, Hillary Clinton was lampooned as being obsessed about her looks and bitter about her loss in the primary. Oh, and Carly, did you notice that the skit was about sexism?
Truth-based humor is funny, guys. Lighten up. Or, more likely, doth thee simply protest too much?
