. . . The more they stay the same.

Wall Street is biggest donor to Obama's $50 million inaugural.

Now, if I had promised change what I would do is invite the Chief Justice to the Oval Office and take the oath there and then give a televised speech to the nation. That's it, the Constitution doesn't require a lavish $50 million party in a time of economic hardship for most people.

Obama, empty suit
Change, empty word.

Look, if we want to focus on frivolous spending there are many other things we should be focused on than the inauguration. We still have a $10 Billion per month bill on an unwanted war in the Middle East. And besides, Bush/Cheney's Inauguration costs were almost just as high as Obama's. About $40 Million according to this Washington Times article. Washington Times - Inaugural price tag in line with history

Seems a little "empty" to blame Obama for what is essentially a thing that ALL politicians do. But of course, we are dealing with people who dreamed improbable dreams based on a campaign slogan. Keep making that mistake on what YOU thought "change" was supposed to be about. It only makes your argument even more laughable.

What, exactly, is the complaint of the OP?

That some investment bankers who work on Wall St., the segment of the population most likely to have seven-figure salaries, each contributed up to $50k of their personal money?

Or is the change from Bush's $40M 2004 inaugural festivity being 90% bankrolled by corporate donations to Obama's 2008 inauguration being zero percent funded by corporations just a bit too much for you to stomach?

Did you even read the article you linked?

Stop posting your stupid little teapot tempests. Go outside and get a life.

Zen Observation:
What is the sound of a jack-ass braying in the forest, if no-one can hear?
Still sounds just like a jack-ass.
