Depends on the style and if it fits the guy's face. Some men look good with them. I wouldn't want one on my bf simply because when he doesn't shave you can tell he'd have a spotty beard and his hair is rather thin on his upper lip. Just wouldn't look good on him. But for a man who can grow a good one and trims it properly (guys who let it grow till it hangs in their mouth gross me out, especially when they eat) it looks OK.

I just want to make one point though, having once dated a guy with a goatee, it did effect my ability to orgasm through oral as the hair played havoc, tickled, irritated, my clit and pussy thus frustrating me to no end. Every time I'd get close to orgasm it inevitably stabbed my sensitive parts and I'd get knocked back from the event horizon. Drove me nuts to the point I told him to stop going down on me which in turn had him shaving it off a couple days later. After which the a-hole's advanced oral skills really came to light and sent me into orbit in short order many many times.

Wait, I changed my mind, fuck facial hair on guys. My O takes top priority. Just say "no" to the 'stache!

Haha, MG, glad you came full circle on that. I should have been more specific. The hipster molest-ache on white guys is the one I meant to ask about. Not talking about a goatee, I'm talking about the full Tom Selleck - only the guy wearing it ain't Tom Selleck. He usually ends up looking much more like a William H. Macy. Few white men can pull it off. Black men, Latinos or others with darker pigment can pull it off (or at the very least not make it look creepy). I'm as white they come and I'd only wear one if it was a fake and I got to chew gum and wear a pair of aviators with the gradual tint.

not many dudes can carry the stand alone stache.
some form of anchoring man-fuzz is required, at minimum a goat.. ideally a full beard.

steam punk dudes can sometimes rock a mean stache/muttonchop combo.

is why Tom Selleck and his lip toupee are so iconic.
like a frickin unicorn in a Hawaiian shirt

I don't like them on most guys. I can't even explain why but it's just not something I like.

My husband has a mustache and goatee, and I like the way it looks on him. I like facial hair, but more is not necessarily better. On a scale of John Waters to Grizzly Adams somewhere in the middle is fine.

For me it depends on the man and his face. My hubby is clean shaved and over the years, when he has decided to grow some facial hair, it has not lasted long. He just doesn't have the face and bone structure that it works well with. Bottom line, for facial hair to look hot on a man, it MUST be well groomed. There is nothing worse than a guy that looks unkempt.

I had no clue who Grizzly Adams was and had to look him up which led me to a youtube video. That is one hairy dude.

p.s. I really like that shows theme song.

LOL! I don't think I ever saw that show. That's something my Grandma used to call my Dad. I've seen pictures of him when he was younger, and he was a wild man! This was before he and Mum met or else there probably would not have been a me!

Maybe those guys like the way they look, and might have someone special in their lives who agrees?

Beauty/attractiveness is in the eye of the beholder.

How/why is someone else's facial hair so disturbing to you?

I know I should not make fun, but come on. I mean, one of the dudes looked like Doug Henning (pic attached for reference). Plumage and all. I tried to snap a photo but the lighting was too dim...

I guess I'm trying to understand the allure of the mustache without laughing... For me it ranks right up there with the mullet, and almost becomes a caricature. I try not to laugh, but when I see one, my mind goes straight to evil henchmen or Ron Burgandy.

There are 4 white dudes at the bar right now with mustaches, so now I am speechless. God only knows how long they posed in front of the mirror tonight. Sweet Jesus.

You're contemplating facial hair on LPSG while at a bar? I think you're supposed to put the phone down and go socialize!

Anyway.....mustache? HELL NO. Why don't you just throw in a Corvette and a Hawaiian shirt. I'm not referring to Tom Sellek. This is the "middle age man" look I avoid like the plague. I know a lot of women who have themselves the M.A.M. and I dont get it!!! Mustache, Tommy Bahama shirt, dad jeans. Awful!

Give me a younger man any day. I wouldn't date a guy my own age because most (ok not all..but a lot) of them look like old men.
