...."AMAZING".... Everything nowadays is "amazing". It felt "amazing", we had an "amazing" time, the movie was "amazing", we were served an "amazing" duck a l'whatever. Amazing, amazing, amazing.

I'm so sick of hearing "amazing". Where'd it come from? It's sorta laid back isn't it? I mean, amazement is not quite awe, I think, though better than wonder (ful)... perhaps...I dunno.

But for chrissakes show some ingenuity and creativity. Mix up your "amazing" with an occasional "thrilling" or even a spectacular or two...something other than just freakin' "amazing".

'Awesome' has ALWAYs been a naff expression.I like the the not very often used 'cracking.' It's a northern expression, example: "By 'eck that girl's got a cracking bust"

Yes..."bee's knees", or the even more whimsical "cat's pajamas". Maybe we should start making up our own just to see if it catches on... "butterific", "spamtastic", etc.

How about 'fazing' (my short for 'fucking amazing')? I know it's technically still 'amazing', but it's a change.....

I recently started hearing 'hectic' a lot - I thought it must be new but apparently skateboarders have been using it for decades.
