I hate that in a democratic republic so many have a take it or leave it mentally. I though the point of this country was self-governance for and by the people. If you don't like that way America operates, change it!

I think immigrants envy America because it's a safe, prosperous democracy. All those migrants running around the world didn't have the opportunity to change their governments, which is why they are forced to flea their homes. I take great offense to people telling others to just up and leave. No, you stay and fight. Taking a knee is important to those player who come form and know the challenges of their communities. Surly all the Republican's enraged by this issue should use that energy to get all of the homeless vets, that they claim to love, off the streets. The military's cheerleading team never misses a beat, unless a real issue is at play. I don't know any of you poster's personally, so I'm talking about the average joe and our political "leaders".

The kneeling issue spreads even more light to our country's aversion to self-reflection, this blindness is the reason China is replacing us a world power. We've got to focus on real issues and listen to each other, even NFL players, when we say that something is wrong with America.

Standing for the National Anthem is simply showing respect for those that made the ultimate sacrifice defending your right to sit on your disrespectful ass and do as you do. That being said I think there are alot more constructive and effective ways to show your non approval of whatever it is you're protesting.
