Holding anti-violence rallies, mothers put themselves in the line of fire by patrolling locations of shootings in hopes their presence will calm the violence. Inviting police to our churches to foster a better relationship between law enforcement and the community.

You aren't aware of it because A] it doesn't make the news like a black man robbing a liquor store or 45 shootings in a weekend does and B] you obviously only talk to black Americans with superficial platitudes in the most cursory, impersonal manner.
