The highest disapproval rating of a 2nd year president in history is no small feat. Regardless of political persuasion, it bears addressing such a catastrophic fall in popularity in 14 short months.

RealClearPolitics - The Fall of Obama

Charles Krauthammer eloquently summarizes the divergence of Obama's agenda from the American people.

From attempting to hijack the healthcare industry to taxing everyday life with the cap and trade bill, he is alienating the left, the center and the right in one fell swoop.

Moreover, the infighting within the Democratic Party is creating such pandamonium that they may even lose superduper blue Massachussets to an unknown republican state senator.

I would speculate that his advisors should be encouraging Obama to fold his hand, because trying to move the U.S. government into a radical left wing, Soviet-style of government is backfiring and fostering political stalemate and unrest from D.C. to San Fran.

Even moderates and former Obama worshippers are furious about this healthcare bill, and cap and trade doesn't have a snowball's chance of getting though the Senate.

Additionally, this wild-west, casino-style agenda of gov't spending is mortgaging the future of at least two more generations. This administration's spending legacy could last at least forty more years.

I'm trying to find a positive from this Administration, but it is a difficult proposition - for anybody. You would think Obama's political advisors would have a Plan B to implement before the ship capsizes entirely.

Here's a positive for you SI:(from the Washington Times, not exactly part of the "Liberal media")

EXCLUSIVE: Obama wins more spending cuts than Bush

President Obama notched substantial successes in spending cuts last year, winning 60 percent of his proposed cuts and managing to get Congress to ax several programs that had bedeviled President George W. Bush for years.........

For a total of less than one-half of one percent of the federal budget. That's like throwing a deck chair off the Titanic.

Here's a suggestion. We don't listen to people like you.
Now excuse me while I stand on the opposite side of this thread. I don't want to get struck by lightning.

when you say 'we' don't listen to people....who is 'we?' Is it the the ultra small minority of people that think this Administration is performing well? Is it the people that will endorse this administration no matter what?

Who exactly is it that you are the spokesperson for?

And 'your people' don't listen to the truth? The news? Reality?

You and your people - whoever they are - need a reality check. If some of you would step up and start asking your representatives to start looking out for their constituents instead of trying to ram this liberal agenda through a steel wall, we would probably get something worthwhile accomplished.

That is the key. Clinging to an ideology that gas given us this Great Recession. I mean you flunked the course 'F'. Massive government intervention saved us from another Great Depression. Why listen to a loser? Your horse lost the race. No we won't be needing your stud services

Why people trust the "corporatocracy" yet distrust the government is beyond me.

Corporations tell the government what to do and they buy legislators to create laws that benefit them, yet I hear absolutely NOTHING from you and other conservatives about that simple fact. Corporations operate on nothing but greed, but greed is good right?

It's just the same ol' partisan bullshit. Obama has been a pretty damn good president.

Conservatives just whine and complain that they aren't gonna be able to get as rich as they would like to be. Little bunch of bitchy 8 year olds with waaaaay too much power in society.

It's too bad we can't have some French style retribution and get that guillotine working again. The bastards won't stop unless they have stakes through their hearts. Have a good weekend Star.

My biggest disappointment in terms of health care has nothing to do with Obama and everything to do with a completely and overtly corrupt Congress where an entire party has opted to contribute nothing while the "blue dog" criminals in the other party aren't even doing a good job hiding the fact that they're enjoying all their lobbyist bribes. It's pretty sad when the only argument against a national health care system (like every other industrialized country) revolves around misleading talking points and fearmomgering.

If we don't like what a corporation is selling or doing, we just don't buy it. With gov't, you are force fed their evil wares with no options.
