Where are they required BY LAW in the US? That's a new one on me. I can understand the building codes for handicap patrons, but to my knowledge...that does not include requirements for partitions. As I said earlier in this thread, it was a cost issue as to why they were never installed in our business and we have 10 urnials. Not even airports have them.

For me, I prefer the paritions because I am embarassed by the small size of my penis. I get nervous and always look straight ahead because I'm worried that I'll realize someone can see my penis. The purpose of partitions at urinals is for privacy and they are required by many building codes throughout the country and the world.

the local base ball stadium went backwards and installed individual urinals before it was a wide open large rectangle urinal now there is lines at the restroom. Restroom efficiency is decreased significantly. Not to mention a lot of piss on the floor now

From what I&#8217;ve seen, the partitions&#8212;not just the shields, I mean the serious PARTITIONS(!!)&#8212;don&#8217;t seem to comfort the pee-shy. They could come into a mens room with brick from wall to ceiling three feet deep between the urinals and they still would go to the stalls to accomplish their mission. I&#8217;ve also noticed that there are two groups of the pee-shy. There are the guys who simply and quietly go about their piddling business. And then there are the super-butch pee-shy types. They come bursting into the john, barrel into a stall, kick the seat up with their foot, spray like a race horse, kick the seat back down with the loudest crash possible, and charge out of the room. I don&#8217;t particularly like the second group.

Went into the Army when there were no walls between stools and urinals were porcelain gutters (at least in basic). Fortunately I grew up on a farm, so no problem for me.

However, I spent most of my working days in a large facility surrounded by many local craftsmen. A surprising number couldn&#8217;t have a natural piss without uttering little grunts of passion and pleasure during the process.
