It's nice to know that you are willfully ignorant about the mechanics of racism and don't mind admitting it.

Colorism isn't racism. White people don't think they are superior to black people because their skin is more pale. lolz
In the West, it's the opposite. White people tan to bring out the melanin in their skin... pale skin is unattractive and pasty people are more or less marginalized to some degree by society.
So, shove your "racism is actually just colorism" hypothesis straight where the sun don't shine because it is WRONG and completely misguided.

Thankfully we have you and others to "enlighten" us on a regular basis. Where would we be without you?
If nothing else , bc ain't Pop, and for that we should all be (truly) thankful.
This thread, like many current Politics threads, is getting more and more trivial and embarrassing.
Discrimination based on skin color - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Just in case you and klingsor missed this. There is a history. . . .
White people tan to bring out the melanin in their skin... pale skin is unattractive and pasty people are more or less marginalized to some degree by society.
You really know how to hurt a guy.
Same here. But it's something I rarely think about because it's a given that I'm NOT going to be discriminated against in 99% of situations. Me and my family have no history of been profiled by the police (in a negative way), or refused service, or any of the other dozens of ways that minorities experience discrimination. The most privileged part of being white is not even having to think about it.
It's like being hung, you never need to worry if your dick is too small.
Don't cry! Fair is back...Just look at the emaciated anorexic teenage runway models.
I'm white, and have always felt privileged because of it. Other white people of different backgrounds and experiences may not have quite that sense, but it's still hard to deny the phenomenon exists.
Indeed it's 'sell-by date' is indeed long past.
White privilege isn't something you can hold in your hand.
It's not something that can fall from a tree.
It's not even something that can really make you feel priviliged. A feeling of privilege comes only from recognizing that it exists. If one doesn't recognize that it exists, they will never "feel" or "see" it.
White privilege is the main reason why Black folk have 1/6th the wealth of whites.
White privilege unlocks the keys to society and allows easier access into the elite power structures.
^^^ Just enough wording for "them" to pretend it's all a fairy tale^^^Ostensibly, white privilege is an invisible hand that gives access.

It's the Forum's Curse.
If common ground were ever found, the merry go 'round would collapse ... and everyone would realize they're still living in ma's basement.
You thought that quote was rbkwp's or whatever his handle is. But you see, he's never figured out, in seven years of membership, how to use the quote function. So he just types in text from other people's posts without any acknowledgement that the words aren't his.You haven't been paying attention to the discussions....
