If nothing else , bc ain't Pop, and for that we should all be (truly) thankful.

Do us all a favor and explain the difference. What does b.c....i mean B.C. do that i no longer do? And why would that be. Why would i go from asking questions to making statements about individuals on this board? Why would i stop presenting facts, links and all that to prove my point? Think about it. I didn't go from 0 to 60. Hell even this ain't 60. Could it be because the conversation has reached a point that now i regret bringing it up on this site? And that now the only use i see is to prepare other people for guys that simple stone wall everything (kind of like those people in congress...kind of like those republicans). Let me repeat. The only good i can think of coming from this thread and well this end of the site is that other people can know 100% who they are dealing with, what you'll do and say...and most of all..why.

You started off honest in this thread i'll give you that but then you started turning it into a mash up of bullshit. Of course racism/bigotry still exist, of course its still embedded in legislation and of course it both affects and effects the black community in different negative ways. I shouldn't have to prove that to anyone. It's about as clear as all the other forms of discrimination's and bad bad stuff. When it comes to black people though well...somehow the racism/bigotry that has been going on for years and years suddenly disappears from americas fiber when (ha ha look what today is) is was fucking built on it.

Yes it's in the police, yes its in politics, yes its in damn near everything and everyone. And just because its that day. Look at the state many native americans are in. Of let me guess. It's their fault. If only they would just...blah blah blah. Not to long ago people road atv's over their dead ancestors. And this is why i'm stopping. This is why i'm going to do my best not to post in the politics section. Cause you guys either should or do know all of this. Fuck people still use evolution as an excuse to act like tots douche bags to any and everyone they come in contact with.

And its particularly frustrating when you have someone in the conversation not only pretending to understand the situation better than any and everyone else but has the nerve say he's unbiased but then sides with clearly racist/big gots.

Information has no effect on you and others. Facts have no effect on you or others. Not even the basic idea of logic does. If you say you are a duck, you might wanna you know...actually be one. You had many chances to prove you are who you said you were but backed out. Granted you did do it a little but then completely lost your shit. Logically speaking thats not someone standing by who they are. Thats you know, faking the funk.

That's good because you have so many attributes.
Maybe Russia will invade you.

Dude, don't let 'em discourage you from posting here. That's exactly what they want.

I think it safe to say any FAIR minded person knows racism and racial disparity in America still exist in various ways, and has become accepted by some among us as "the natural order of things" - which is why SOME diminish and deny racial issues as so much "race baiting" and the playing of some card.

Conservatives in particular are quite adept at twisting the truth, if not telling outright lies - while proclaiming anything that disputes their version of "the truth" to be "spin" and the product of the so-called "liberal" media.

It is in this fashion that unwarranted police killings of blacks become "lack of cooperation" and "thuggery" on the part of blacks, or how documented evidence of disparate treatment of minorities by doctors becomes lack of effort and follow-up on the part of minorities, to list just some of the denials offered herein.

And it is THOSE denials that clearly paint a picture (I think) of the "beast" with which we are dealing.

You had many chances to prove you are who you said you were but backed out. Granted you did do it a little but then completely lost your shit. Logically speaking thats not someone standing by who they are. Thats you know, faking the funk.

Let's have a go:

1. b.c. (no need for snark to compensate for your previously failed grasp at zee inglish) actually attempts to discuss an issue, rather than making ridiculously assumptions about a dissenting poster/group of folks...which you be your prime skill here. Sure, b.c. still calls me a racist (or dances around it), but at least he tries to provide some substance while doing so.

2. You think you are providing facts...reality would show you do nothing of the sort. You accept personal experiences (sans factual backing) while attacking me for mine by calling me a racist, amongst other things. These are not what one calls facts.

3. If you think you know who you're dealing with, you haven't the slightest clue. Hell, multiple folks on your side (does he mean Liberals or blacks...let's just say he's racist!) disagree with you on the matter.

4. I started in this thread just as I have continued to be throughout the thread.

5. Who is saying racism and/or bigotry do not exist. I haven't seen one poster express such an opinion...not even H0ney. I for one know that I haven't asked you to prove these things still exist. However, that does not mean I will accept that EVERY instance in which a black(s) and white(s) interact less than amicably is racist beyond all doubt. You are willing to do that. That's neither good nor bad, but it damn sure is wrong.

6. Don't talk the talk unless you're going to walk the walk...in this case, right out of the politics section.

7. I've made no comments saying I understand race relations/racism better than anyone else. What I have done is understand logic and common sense better than many here in many situations. I have one bias here; I am anti-baseless accusations. Beyond that, I have no horse in this race. I don't need racism to continue/cease in order to maintain my place in the world.

However, the dichotomy you create is such horseshit. I disagree, to varying degrees, with your assessments regarding systemic racism and personal responsibility, and therefore, by your estimation, I side with racists/bigots. That is simply not the case, good sir.

In regards to my highfalutin attitude, blame it on present company...and my being an only child.

You are not providing information or facts...you are simply saying that I cannot/will not process such things. Saying it again will not change this reality.

In regards to proving who I am, I have been consistently from the jump. Admittedly, I have lost some shit along the way, though, for better or worse, not in the manner in which you refer.

Oh i totally agree. But i made the small mistake of letting my emotions and assumptions get the better of me. I do see those fair minded people. And its a breath of fresh air. What i mean about emotions and assumptions though is i was kind of about to tell a poster to etch it on a bullet and see what a lack of gun control tastes like. And yeah thats not cool. I don't know. Maybe i'll just take a small break (one that hopefully includes more muffins).

so if another member is not attentive enuf/and misues the wonderful quotes function you all love, is his mistake my fault .. for not using the function ..
Yes, it's your fault.
The quote function clarifies things.
You often quote posts that are old enough so that no one reading the latest posts alone will realize that you are quoting an earlier poster.
And why should they have to keep things straight in their minds when the quote function removes all possibility of confusion?
Your obtuseness on this point is remarkable.

You've already done as much, and there is nothing cooler than airing yourself out for others to see.

I appreciate the candor. It may be extraordinarily classless, but it is still valued.

Note: if I chose to exercise my 2nd Amendment right and commit suicide, it would have nil to do with a lack of proper gun control...

What if the Quote function doesn't work down under, where people fall from the earth and toilet flush the wrong way and hamburgers eat people? You are being obtuse. Check your Northern Hemisphere Privilege©

Didn't read the article, thus why I didn't notice the bit about her crime. Failing to see what's been twisted here...what happened to her is vile, and those responsible should be held to account. Was I supposed to have a different reaction?

Not understanding what's twisted about wanting the additional info. Wouldn't change my thoughts about those with similar sentences to that of Ms. Ellington. If, say, 79 of those were murderers, rapists, or pedophiles, my stance on the matter would be quite different. As I said earlier, it's another topic entirely...so blame no one for continuing it unless you're looking in the mirror.

Similarly, I'm failing to see what's been twisted in the "article" I highlighted.

And what about that one of the 79 who later (through forensics or some new information) is discovered to be innocent of the crime (as if THAT hasn't already happened)?

Further, as Klingsor pointed out, your views are contrary to our legal system, and attempts to apply them would be JUST as much a crime as theirs.... or....say, blowing away a guy who has his hands up, for example.

But I choose to entertain your reply by giving it more recognition than I feel it deserves for the SOLE purpose of revisiting your linked article and demonstrating how twisted its presentation (both yours and that of young cons') was.

No doubt your reference to the link was to once again illustrate another example of the fabled "race card", to wit, Duncan’s nephew, J. Weeks, must have been playing the race card when he attributed Duncan’s death to race. Why? Because according to SOME here, unless you have absolute proof that racism is a factor, you’re playing a race card.

Recall that I have posited that race becomes a “card” only when the accuser is insincere. And Weeks doesn’t appear to be. He truly believes his nephew’s race to have been a factor in his treatment.

Now let’s examine your youngcons link. It reads, “Ebola Victim’s Nephew Makes Outlandish Claim About Why Duncan Had No Chance”

“Outlandish” by WHOSE estimate?? That of some twisted biased “news” source whose mission statement refers to “decisions” they think they’ll have to make about an increasingly older “needy” population?

What I saw was a well spoken gentleman expressing his sense of loss and outrage in a somber, serious, and dignified manner, and he cited NUMEROUS reasons for his position, NONE of which can be categorized as “outlandish”.

Besides, regardless of whether Weeks was correct or incorrect in his feelings on the subject, one must either conclude ONE thing or the other: 1. Either procedure was properly followed as it is for ALL, or 2. It WASN’T.

Either Texas Health Presbyterian sends ALL patients home with a 103 degree fever, or they DON’T. And if they don’t, then Mr. Duncan was improperly treated, REGARDLESS of the reason.

Edit: Let me be clear. The failed assumption was that you could continue on with being fair but that went out the window fast. Oh and gun control plus racist? Really. I already made my fucked up suicide comment to you. For which i apologize. But yup wasn't talking about you this time.

No comment regarding the death penalty bit, as that rodeo has been ridden more than once prior.

Come to think of it, the same can be said of the race card bit. Your opinion differs from mine, and I think it's best to leave it at that. If, in your mind, that makes me a racist, or having sinister ulterior motives, I suppose that will just have to be.

Nope. Not gonna do it with you. I'll just say this. Try this shit with your black friends. See how that works. Don't leave anything out either. Express everything you've expressed here to them. And i mean everything. Talk with them exactly how you have here. Tell them how classy they are not in person. Tell them about all the ways the black community is this or that. Don't let them get a word in edge wise either. And don't do what you began to do in this thread. Do what you are currently doing. Disagree with them like you do those in this thread. DEAL. Though, in the name of equality, I think it best if I do it with all my friends...singling out the blacks would be a touch uncouth, or, dare I say...racist?

In all seriousness, you are absolutely insane if you think I do otherwise...naturally, you'll choose to think of me a liar rather than accepting this possibility, but that's to be expected.

1. If I believe you, or anyone else, to be acting in a classless manner, I will tell you so, both here, and to your face. I do the exact same to my friends, and expect the same in return.
2. I have not once attempted to lecture anyone about the black community...show where this is the case...or just pass it off as whatever a fact means to you.
3. I only have friends that will give it back to me in similarly blunt fashion.
4. If you speak like a fool, I will tell you that you are speaking like a fool. My friends, for the most part, black, white, and all else, do not speak like fools...this becomes a rather unnecessary correction. That said, I will most surely do so when the time arises.
5. The racist jokes bit? I want people around me who are not offended by such jokes...you know why? It's because they're funny. And by all means, throw all the Irish Catholic jokes at me you want...

It is staggeringly offensive to me (and hopefully to others here) that you harbor the belief that all blacks ought to view someone who doesn't toe the line ideologically the way you do...that is an extraordinarily racist belief to hold, my friend.

Considering I've already been the recipient of essentially the same "insult," I'm not exactly going out on a limb by assuming it's intended for me.

Again, I would never expect you to apologize for speaking your mind, so please don't...
