I stopped watching this show years ago. Many years ago they inteviewed the producers and the lady (forgot her name, but she died several years ago) said they don't look for roles to fill in the show.

That's absolute BS. There is always (maybe 1 or 2 exceptions over the years):

-Somebody gay
-Someone who is closed-minded about gays
-Someone black
-Many who are very stupid
